Despite your long rebuttal, I was offered a 14 day FREE trial. Money was taken from my account on day 2 - NOT day 14, so I did not get the FREE 14 day trial.

Your company has however refunded me in full after I complained.

I would still be with your system if my account had not been hit BEFORE the FREE 14 day trial offered to me ended.

It is not morally and ethically right to offer a FREE 14 day trial and then take money before the person has had a chance to look at the offer......Clickmoney only gave me a 2 day FREE trial.......

That was my complaint and it is something that other people need to be aware of.

In your notes above, you state that if I had rung before my FREE trial ended, I would not have had to pay the extra amount......I didn't get the chance to ring as Clickmoney didn't honor the 14 day trial period.

But thank you for your full and detailed response.....it does demonstrate how we all need to read the fine print and not presume that a 14 day FREE trial is indeed that......it can change when the actual conditions are put in front of you.

As well, a phone call to Clickmoney is difficult given that I live on the opposite side of the planet so I would need to stay awake until 1 or 2 am to ring America - a long distance international - expensive and tiring!

There needs to be an opt-in / opt-out section on the website if the company is really interested in helping people. And also, FREE trials should not be given without an easy opt-in / opt-out section as well. Many people will be also caught unaware by the other supposedly FREE gifts which actually result in additional funds being taken out of the account without a lot of trouble to opt-out.

My advice is if you make the same mistake that I did and get caught before your trial ends, complain immediately, report the site on this and other similar sites, and cancel your credit/debit card immediately so no further funds can be taken without authorization.

Full disclosure and easy opt-ins need to be provided at the time of the offer being made and not buried somewhere within a contract after you have given your details.

This morning, one day after I contacted Clickmoney and complained, and after 2 emails to and from the company, Clickmoney has refunded me in full.

I therefore would like to say to people, don't give up, write to the companies and tell them nicely how you are hurting and why you would like a refund. Sometimes the company will respond positively to you.

I am still upset by the way that the offer was made and how it all happened. I still feel it is the wrong way to get people to sign with the company. Full disclosure should have been made at the time I responded to their ads. It is right on Christmas and I was short of money and time. In retrospect, I shouldn't have signed up initially but thought about it more.

But I have to thank Clickmoney for responding quickly and responsibly. Maybe they are good guys after all!
