I was contacted by e-mail in refernce to a resume I had on line offering a job offer and employment package. The company offered to pay off my credit card balance leaving a zero balance to purchase merchandise and ship the merchadise overseas (Russia). They then pay off hat balance and you are free to charge the maximum your card allows a second time. In turn I was to be paid 10% of the transaction amount.

I did this process twice. They provided me with an account and routing number to wire the funds into my credit card account. I did not have to give them any of my credit card numbers or bank information. I charged almost $17,000 each time.

After the second week I followed up via e-mail to see how I was going to be paid. I received no response. I checked my credit card statement on line only to find the charges that were paid had been reversed.

I contacted my bank to find out what happened. They told me they would call back. Later that day I received a call back from the Fraud Department of my bank who told me the charges were not authorized by the account holder. I was told someone accessed another person's account and used that money to pay off my credit card.

The bank gave me an e-mail address for the FBI to notify them of the scam. I was told I would be contacted by an investigator from the bank to follow up with me. It appears as though I will be liable for the money that was charged onto my card.
