Coast To Coast Advertising Filed bogus charges against our company & then sent us to collections!! Springfield Illinois
Frank from Coast to Coast Advertising called our company looking for advertising for placemats at one of our local restaurants. I explained that I was not allowed to make any decisions regarding advertising and that I would have to ask.
Every day Frank called, sometimes twice, asking if we were going to advertise or not. After about a week of these phone calls I explained that we were not interested at this time.
About 2 months later we began to recieve collection phone calls from this company. I explained that we did not approve these charges. They said that they have a recording of me approving all charges. I have yet to hear this recording.
After further investigation the restaurant in question has never even heard of Coast to Coast Advertising. They also told us that they have never and never will use paper placemats with advertising.
When I received a collection call from this company and I told them about finding out that all the charges were bogus they began threatening me personally. He then began to make threats to my family. He said that he knew that I had children and where I lived and he even went so far as to tell me my personal address.
This was the last communication that I had with Coast to Coast Advertising. We had been attempting to contact them and never received a response.
I have now received collection letters in my name to my home address. The first collection agency dropped Coast to Coast Advertising saying that they did not feel the charges were legitimate. We are now trying to explain this to a second collection agency.
If you ever recieve a phone call from this company...HANG UP. They are nothing but trouble!!!
