Coast to Coast Auto Glass Stay Away From Them Charleston, South Carolina
Whatever you do, please do not allow yourself to come in contact with anyone representing this lame company. I have a "no soliciting" sign on my door, and their representative rang my doorbell anyways. He told me that they were installing some windshields in my area, at no cost, and he was trying to help out a few others. Thanks to some of my other neighbors, I had been previously cautioned about this company. I asked to see his business license to which he produced a business license under the name of Synergy Management which was a City of Charleston Business License. I reside in Summerville, within Dorchester County, and informed the sales person that he has no license to be in the area. He simply turned, and said, "Have a good day."
I called Summerville Police on him, reporting that this representative only had a City of Charleston Business License that wasn't even posted as Coast to Coast Auto Glass, but Synergy Management. I was informed by the police that they had received numerous complaints about this company throughout the entire Summerville area.
Not only is this company operating somewhat illegally, but from some of my neighbors who had dealings with them, there have been several who had installation problems stemming from their poor workmanship. According to my neighbors, their level of customer service is beyond horrible. So, please tell everyone you know to stay clear of this company. They are really bad news!
If someone approaches you and announces they are from Coast to Coast Auto Glass, please ask them to provide their business license. You will see for yourself that it is just a City of Charleston Business License, and the name of the company appearing on it is Synergy Management. Sounds awful shady to me! I don't know if this is a scam or what, but please do yourself a favor and do not allow them to handle your auto glass claim.
Taking things a bit further, I went to my Allstate agent and asked him if he had heard of Coast to Coast Auto Glass. He point blank told me to stay away from them all together. According to him, he had received numerous complaints about their low quality of work, not to mention, their below standards of customer service.
I feel sorry for their sales people cause they are only trying to earn a living, however, having to spread lies to do it. I did ride around my area and saw NO installers from Coast to Coast. I did see two installers working, and confronted both of them and neither of them were from this company. When I mentioned Coast to Coast Auto Glass, the two men just laughed.
I am positive that there are a few people who lucked out and had no problems with this company, but with the facts being laid onto the table, this company should be completely shut down. From my understanding, and only mine, by them operating in areas where they do not have a license to operate, is clearly illegal, not to mention, operating under another name altogether.
Please help and rid our community of this pariah of an alleged company. Tell your family members, neighbors, and those you work with so that this company will get the message that we will NOT be taken in by their so-called lies.
