I responded to an ad in the San Diego Tribune for Sales Managers 52K+ (no mention of the company name in AD). I called the number and requested someone call me with more details.

The next morning (today) I received a call from a receptionist saying she was calling to schedule my interview for TODAY at 10:00am.

I asked who she was and what company she was calling from? She said, Coastal Promotions. I said, "but you don't even have my resume and you want me to come in for an interview? I don't know anything about your company!" She says, "Well, I have a 10am and 11:30am if you want to come in?" I said, "This is a lil odd that you would call me to offer an interview for a Sales MANAGER position and not know anything about my job history" I said, "Give me a few minutes, I'll call you right back"

I hung up and went online (as I always do when I want info on a company). I did a google search for Coastal Promotions and a few sites popped-up but I could not ignore the sites that said FRAUD, SCAM, BEWARE - so I clicked and ended up here.

As I was reading I thought, Wow, I knew something didn't feel right. Then, I picked up the phone and called the receptionist back letting her know I was not interested. Not two minutes later do I get a call from a "Manager" who by the way sound like she was 20 years old. She says, "This is the Manager at Coastal Promotions, can I help you?" I was taken back and thought, (especially after reading about their scams) THE NERVE of her to call me and ask if she can help me? "Uh, excuse me darling, you called me" I replied." She said, "Well, how can I help you (with a snippy attitude)." I said, "You can't, Do not call me again. You should take a look at rip-off report and all the bad press going on about this company that you are "managing"!!" She said, " OH WHATEVER DARRRR-LINGGG, that guy is being investigated." I chuckled and said, "Honey, it's not just ONE guy! Have a great day!" Then the heifer called me back two more times. Of course I did not answer, but come on, seriously...Don't answer an ad from these people!!!

First of all let me be one to say that i am extremely proud of my office region big z's. . . and second how can you say that they had scammed you. . .you didn't even make it into second interview. How can you go about saying that a company scammed you. first answer me these questions. 1. Did you come into 2nd interview 2. Did they steal any $ from you? 3. Did they make any promises that they didn't full-fill? 3. how do you know that all the claims that you read? 4. Did you know that all major successfull co. have fraud reports against them. Wal-mart even being one of them. Also another thing is there are two types of people in this world 1. someone who works for someone else 2. someone who works for him/her self which one do you want to be.
