I did try to contact you guys after this message was put here, but I never updated what happened until now. I kept calling the number and either no one would answer, or when they finally did answer, they were of little to no help. I noticed that since I wrote the original report 3 years ago, they have fixed their www.colothin.com website so it no longer looks like a scammy website. It looks legit now. Hopefully their customer service is legit now too. What ended up happening was I made a consumer complaint to the Attorney General of California, since I could NOT get any legit names from the owners of this company for me to sue them. I sent the evidence I had (phone call records, bank statements, picture of scammy, questionable website) along with a lenghty letter to the Attorney Generals Office of California to explain the situation. After several months, I got a letter from the Attorney General saying they contacted the company on my behalf and asked them to resolve this matter with me, and FINALLY I got an email, I believe it was, from some guy, whose name I forgot, telling me that he worked for the company and finally got me a check in the mail for how much they forced me to pay them. I could have asked for more or threatened to sue, and I probably could have gotten it because I had SOO much evidence against them, but that's not how I am. I just wanted my money back and for these people to learn their lesson. It's not right manipulating people the way you guys did and then not willing to give them their money back. Anyway, if anyone else has this problem, or a problem with ANY scammy company for that matter, I suggest you gather all the evidence you can (phone records to show you did call them and try to fix things and statements from your banks showing the chargers that correlate to days you tried to call them on your phone bill, and just ANYTHING you can) and mail the evidence along with a personal statement of the issue to your state Attorney General's Office; that is if you can't find a name linked to the company to be able to sue them in small claims court.
