They do not abide to the contract and they will try anything to refuse service. In my case, they refused to repair the swimming pool pump because I was not able to provide the pool maintenance record. I am not sure what kind of maintenance record Colonial is looking for. This is a residence.  As most of the other homeowners, we perform the maintaining of our pool ourselves. That includes at least these tasks: keep the chemical balanced, clean the baskets for debris, shocked the pool,  perform the backwash I am not sure if any pool owner would keep this kind of record, as we just do it routinely to keep our pool in top shape.  Colonial representative suggested that we could dispute. The dispute process is a joke!  No one at Colonial would even acknowledge of the mediation request for the dispute. I have 4 properties under contract with them. I had cancelled them all. Yes, there was penalty as we expected according to the contract term. What we did not expect was they would miscalculate many items and basically trying to squeeze every penny out of you.
