In 20I2, I ordered Colonial to cover my two homes, paying for a three-year warranty. 3 year plan [1/3/13 - 4/3/16].
Coloni Home Warranty assigned a plumbing company to diagnose and repair a home hot water heater. Their service company identified a part to be replaced, and gave a 7 day deliver time. I contacted the supplier and received the part one day later. The plumbing company then refused to replace the part so the family could have hot water and not wait for an additional 7 days.
Colonial would not provide another service company. I found an alternate compan y to do the repair within two days.
Colonial demanded the new plumbing company to provide a diagnosis of the problem, after the replacement part was installed and hot water restored to the family. Colonial has received three copies of the invoice and a diagnostic report, but has failed to pay - per their contract - for the repair, the second diagnosis they demanded, nor the replacement part. 18 months post repair, and numerous calls and emails requesting reimbursement.
Then, in July 2013, I sold the home and terminated the coverage. Colonial has refused to refund the additional premium for the unused 1 and 1/2 years.
Finally, I requested service to repair a faulty washing machine. Colonial scheduled a service company who refuses to work for them, and claims they resolved the issue by assigning another company, after I tried for four days to contact the original service company while on vacation i3000 miles away.
I've requested return calls and contact information for their corporate management. NO return calls from Colonial and refusal to provide contact information.
