Comcast quoted me a price of $25 a month for cable internet twice. The first time they sent me a bill of $66.00 and when I inquired about the high bill they responded with, "Oh, sorry Sir. Whoever quoted you that $25 a month shouldn't have done that. You can be guaranteed that they will be diciplined!" Like I care.

So, I worked my way up their dysfunctional company ladder and spoke with some manager who asked me two questions and told me that I was indeed correct. So... they still didn't send me the right bill.

Comcast later called me demanding a payment. I laughed and said, "I'm not paying you morons anything." The girl was nice. She said, "Yes, Comcast is mostly a bunch of morons, pay us this and we'll let you go on your way." It was a reasonable price... I left.

I moved in with my girlfriend last month. We needed internet so I called Comcast's competitor, a company called KNOLOGY. At this point they could have quoted me a much higher price and I would have gone with them just off of principal. They tell me that they do not service my area. So I have to go with Comcast. Well that's just great.

I call Comcast. They quote me $25 a month. I say, "You're lying." The nice girl says, "Here's my name, phone number, extension number, and the days I work. If anything is wrong with your bill call me." They send me a big bill. I call Comcast. The stupid computer phone doesn't even recognize my phone number. I speak with some moron in the sales department. He tells me that I can't have the $25 a month and that she shouldn't have quoted me that price, and blah blah blah, same EXACT excuse as before.

Conclusion: Comcast is using this "$25 a month promotion" whereby they tell you that's all it will cost, and then when they overcharge you they say, "Well, they should not have quoted you that price. They will be disciplined don't worry." and then they say something about how you should have ordered cable TV too because then they would give you that deal. It's all a LIE. AVOID COMCAST AT ALL POSSIBLE COSTS. I'm reporting them to the Tennessee Attorney General and the Better Business Bureau. I've also contacted an attorney for advice.

They did the exact same kind of thing to me, except when they hooked up my service, they were so desperate to make the sale that instead of transfering my home from a business to a residential (the people who lived here before had a business from home) they just reactivated their service!! Then they just "added" my name to the bill instead of fixing the real problem. It costed me my 200.00 rebates they promised me! I cant get anyone else here either! I HATE comcast and hope they get sued!!
