Comcast Do not use their VOIP phone service - they will sell your phone number Houston Texas
Made the big mistake of connecting with Comcast for phone, cable and internet services. (Their $99.00 special) I've already cancelled the cable service in favor of going back with satellite TV and am their phone service too.
On the phone number that Comcast gave me for their Voice Over IP service (VOIP) I have gotten a constant stream of sales calls for magazines, security service and pest service to name just a few. My phone is ringing 10 to 12 times a day with these annoyance calls. The only way that this could happen with a VOIP number is is it was sold to a listing service by Comcast.
I'm paying to have my phone number changed when I go back with the other VOIP cmpany to get rid of these nuisance calls.
Do yourself a favor, stay away for Comcast for VIOP - they will sell your phone number to the highest bidder. I just wish that they did not have a monopoly here on high-speed internet service. Then I'd be able to kick them out my front door completely!
