I have had cable servcie since July of 2006 when I moved into my new home. Cable service was ordered and installed. At the beginning of this month, I found a piece of paper in my mailbox asking me to call a "Bob".

This paper looked like a stencil cut out. I called the phone number twice that day and received a voice mail. I left several messages but the call was not returned. The next day my cable service was cut off. I called the number several times still no response. I then called the Comcast Call Center.

I was told that my service was cut off because I was behind $12.00. I complained that I was not given any notice and that I had jsut made a payment a month prior. They said they would turn it on for a $28.00 reconnect fee and a month in advance. I said I was not willing to do that.

I called the corporate office to speak to the Vice President of Operations. When you call there, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO SPEAK to an officer or ANYONE in authority. An Executive assistant takes your call, which is REALLY a call center employee.

I was told they would waive the reconnect fee if I made the payment today and I consented to do that. I was advised the service would be on when I returned home from work. It was never turned on and I could not make the payment because my profile in the computer was deleted because MY ACCOUNT HAD BEEN CLOSED.

I called to make the payment and to advise that my service was never turned on as promised. I was told that I owe $300 more from an old bill many years ago. I ADVISED THAT THEY WERE INCORRECT. They said my social security number was on that bill. I advised them I NEVER GAVE THEM my SS #.

When speaking with them I had my current bill (3/14/07) in my hand of $46.12. They advised they were going to add $300 to it. I called to speak to the Vice-President, again, I was give a call center person, I then asked to speak to the president, again I was given a call center employee.

This company does not VALUE CUSTOMERS and has has FRAUDULENT practices. DO NOT use their services or purchase their stock.

COMCAST RIPOFF

Yes, Comcast reneged on buyback promise to me. Also in the near future people should sue them for their internet cable download and upload speeds being NOT what we are PAYING for. Comcast will continue to do what they did to you, me and others until we break their monopoly in many areas and expose them...
