Scheduled payment on acct for 178.30 for 8/6/16. Got my paycheck on 8/3/16 which is what i told them, so i paid them 178.30 on that date by phone. On 8/6/16 they charged my bank acct 178.30 again, which i had already paid on 8/3/16. I called customer service 3 times, 2 i got the phillipines, and 3rd time mexico. None of them would correct their double charge. I needed that money to pay other utility bills and they refused to give me credt on my bank acct.for the double charge on 8/6/16. Said they would credit my acct. I didnt need credit,i needed my 178.30 so i could pay my other bills. Ive been a customer of comcasts for 23 years. Not anymore. Paul Ehlert. Mad.

Apparently you cant read. In my complaint i stated that i needed that extra 178.30 to pay other bills. You refused to credit my bank acct for the second charge. Therefore i couldnt pay my other bills. It is a rip off because you kept my money. Its all about principle here. You are unscrupulous in your business practices. You kept something that was not yours. You force me to deal with someone in the Phillipines that cant even speak good english and could care less about a customer.they lied to me on the phone to pass me off. The bottom line you lost a customer of 23 years , $50,000 of .business.

No RipOff...

I will never get why people try to complicate things....

You made arrangements for them to withdraw the payment on the 6th.  So why didn't you just let them take it out then?  Were you going for a Gold Star?  Did they promise some huge discount?  Unless there is something you aren't telling us there is no reason why you couldn't allow them to just take the payment as scheduled.

The fact is that if you had set up an ACH paying it on the 6th does NOT give them(or any business/bank) time enough to cancel the ACH if you made a payment on the 3rd.  It generally takes 3-5 BUSINESS days in order to do this and you gave them 2(since the 6th is a Weekend it was most likely processed for the 5th).  That is even if you specifically asked them to cancel it.  In fact depending on what time you made the payment on the 3rd, the ACH was probalby already in process.

Now, you of course may get them to reverse the second charge, and if you do great.  But if they don't this is still not a RipOff.   Inconvienent..yes, but not a RipOff as you are not out the money.  You now just don't have to pay your bill with them next month.
