I paid several thousands of dollars to retain 'Community Home Improvements', aka Wayne Davis, Jonathan Davis or Jonathan Wayne Davis to replace rotten trim and siding and paint my house, rebuild the railing on my deck and refurbish my deck and front door and to add 2 metal poles to my privacy fence. He was very knowledgeable about home improvements and what needed to be done and how it needed to be done.
He did strive to tell me that the cedar siding on my house was discontinued; however I found it with one telephone call here in the DFW area. He was striving to talk me into using cheap, builders siding instead so that he could make more money off of the project.
Within 10 days he was asking for more money; yet no real work had begun nor had he furnished more then $100.00 in materials. I had typed up a contract with him; which we both signed stating the quoted price, the down payment / retainer and that the balance would be due upon completion.
He brought in his "crew" of 2 men. It took one man 6 1/2 hours to set 2 metal poles in the ground to attach to my 6 foot privacy fence. And, one pole won't even reach the fence at the mid section. He set the poles in 50 pounds of cement and they were wiggling. Wayne's excuse was that he thought the man was on drugs and that he fired him.
10 days after retaining his services, he brought in a sub-contractor who began work on my deck and house. The man worked one day and stopped as Davis was not paying him for the work on my home, and work he had done on several other homes.
The red cedar siding and trim was off of my house and chimney, covered at my insistence in plastic to protect it from heavy rains that came through on the 11th day after retainer. By the next morning most of the plastic had come down from the rain storm and my house was exposed with much more rain predicted. I contacted Wayne via text to advise him of this and he never responded.
It has been over 2 months since I retained this man and my house is still not finished. I am out several thousands of dollars due to this con man.
I did take the right first step though and filed a police report on this man. I also filed a crime stoppers report. 2 months after he took my money he called and left me a voicemail offering to "pay me back." I returned his call and have never heard another word from him.
This contractor had given me 2 addresses. The one is Lewisville, TX and one is: 13001 Cleveland Gibbs Rd., Roanoke, TX 76262; which is an RV Park. He drives a beat up Chevy, double cab truck and a nice Harley. He's a smooth talking con-man. And, he also is in bankruptcy or has filed for bankruptcy in either Tarrant or Denton County, Texas. I am still researching this information provided to me by the detective assigned to this act of fraud.

I will not get into details about this company. But I was curious when I googled him and this link came up. We know this man on a personal basis and have been very suspicious of his behavior and business edicate since we met him. Time confirmed our suspensions. This guy moves and changes his phone number each time he has ripped off another customer. I would absolutely love to give anyone who needs it his current phone number and place of residency.To my knowledge he just this week was served with papers from a client for the same behaviors listed in this website. Beware of this guy !!! He gets his money up front and disappears. He has several different names. Jonathan, Wayne, Patrick....Davis
