Complete Moving And Storage Inc - Logan Moving CMS Movers Furniture Hijackers. Do not believe phone quotes. Ask for paper agreement well before hand to read. Foul language, bad intentions. Toronto, Ontario
I got a quote from CMS boss over the phone at $40/hour, only 1 hr travel time, no separate charge for heavy items, insurance on all items included. He never mentioned any thign on written agreement to sign. Estimate was around $500.
On the day of moving, he sent me two guys who arrived 45 minutes late and that caused me troubles with service elevator booking.
The driver showed me a piece of paper and asked me to write down the destination address and sign. That was the trap (It was indeed an agreement full of ripping off terms)
Before they left, the driver asked for $400 deposit!! or otherwise he wouldn't move!! I paid thinking it is a rule and out of my good intention.
I left 30 minutes after they left to the destination address and arrived 45 minutes before them.
Once they arrived and before they upload the furniture, they asked for the rest of the money. I was surprised to find it another $436 (Total of $836)!! Otherwise, they said their boss ordered them to take the furniture away. I called the police. The police couldn't get hold of the boss or force them to comply with the verbal agreement and so I had to pay.
After several attempts to call their boss, he used foul language and hanged up the phone twice as I tried to know the reason for the extra charge!! Even the movers said if I make a lawsuit they would be witnessing there was unjustified extra charges!!
Here is what they put In the agreement:
1- They have minimum travel time of 4 hours!!
2- They charge for heavy items over 100 Ib. (Only 100 Ib.)!!
3- They charge for what is called "Dispatch".
4- They charged for the 4 hours travel time again as labor time !!
The boss made his own estimate for 11 hours labor although it took them only 6 hours in the loading and the unloading; plus 1.5 hours of dispute time and the wait time for the police and bringing the rest of the money for them to proceed!!
One last thing to show how your belongings will not be safe in their hands, you'll not get the insurance coverage unless you pay extra $30 as per the agreement. No body will till you about that term as of course they do not want to take any liability for damages.
I definitely urge everybody not to deal with this company as they are not trustworthy, not decent, their behavior is full of bad intention to blackmail their customers once they get hold of their belongings.
