Greed its everywhere But Conservice as taken it to a new level charging late fee's starting on the 1st of the month When most of the low income family's don't get paid till the 3rd or 5th of the month SSA,SSI,disabled and retired.

The only time I was paid on the 1st was in the USAF. If you have! the income to pay their fee's $7 late fee $3 for payments, times 100,000 or 1,000,000 . Plus!! being paid by the Apartment managment companys for utility billing.

THIS IS the worst case of corporate greed ,Unfair business practice and direct targeting ( Yes Discrimination) based on income that i've come across

I pay my bills through my banks bill payer on line and I'm told that Conservice use a third "Party" for payment processing. so I'm charged a late fee based on conservice's inablity to process payments in a timely manner

Utility Addendum?

Derek(??) I "assume" you made a typo & your name is not Serek? My point is this: If the apartment complex/owner/manager(whoever?) signed the contract with ConService, do you honestly believe that the tenant is required to pay late fee's if they never signed anything with ConService? In my case, the only thing residents in my complex community signed was an Utility Addendum which states we now are required to pay water/sewage & it's calculated by # or TOTAL residents in complex & by TOTAL square footage in comples community. For Example: If Apt Manager receives monthly bill from provider &, lets say it is $6000. The management pays a portion for common areas, lets say $1000. That now leaves $5000 for the residents to pay. Here's what happens next. Lets say there is 500 people living in the complex. You divide the $5000 by 500 which =10. Now you multiply $10 times # of occupants in each apt. In my case my wife & I so that would be 10 x 2=$20. That's just 1/2 of the bill. Now you divide the total square footage by the 500 occupants, then you multiply it by ea apt's sq ft. In my case 921. That makes my bill around $40 ea month.(including ConService's billing fee of $2,75) My problem with your company is that you WILL NOT put # of occupants & the Sq Ft on my bill. If you have a computer, you can look on line & see # of occupants that ConService has but not the Sq Ft. Why not?? I was told it would be to much on the bill & confuse people? That is obsurd! To top this off, my "manager" only turns in not even 1/2 of total people who actually live here which makes my bill higher! If I go away for 1 month, that way no water used in my apt, I still would have a bill? If no one moves in or out of complex for that month, I still owe? Don't you think that is unfair to me? I'm sure YOU WOULD NOT LIKE IT?? I have a lawsuit(against complex & owner) I hope to have new law put in effect that ALL APT COMPLEX"S have to install meters to each unit! Think about it, I could be away for 3 months & still have a water bill EVERY MONTH even though I used no water/sewage. Also, to charge $20 EACH MONTH that you carry a balance? Pretty High, huh? Again, I never signed anything with ConService, never signed anything with apt complex about late fee's, so I NEVER WILL PAY CONSERVICE A LATE FEE whether I'm late or not! That ConService, needs to come from whoever signed your "RipOff" contract! Another thing I don't understand with ConService? I have a washer & a dish washer. Everyone knows that they both use water, correct? My question for you(ConService) is this? My washer & dish washer doesn't have anything to do with my water bill but MY SQUARE FOOTAGE DOES? Please explain this 1?? Also, why is my bill based on what other residents do? I'm trying to save $$ but if my neighbor decides to leave his water running 24/7, my bill goes up? UNREAL!!

Late Fee's

I have a few things I'd like to inform the residents who receive bills from ConService. I live in an apartment complex where ConService is the billing company. I am required to pay for water, sewage, & trash. Trash is always $4.75 a month. The water & sewage is calculated like this- The apt complex pays "a portion" of the bill for common areas(laundry rooms, pools, etc.only 20%) the rest is divided by total # of residents & by square footage. The complex has roughly 500 occupants BUT, the complex "manager" ONLY turns in about 290 ea billing period!( the "manager" also lets some go without EVER having them billed!)As you can figure out, this makes my bill & others higher than it should be. The sq ft is roughly 200 MORE sq ft(this is given to ConService from my apt "manager") than actual footage in my apt. Again, makes my bill higher! I am in process of a lawsuit against the owners of the complex along with the apt complex I live in & the "Manager." The main thing to all Conservice "customers"- If you DID NOT sign a contract with ConService(just signed a lease to pay utilities?) you, the resident, DO NOT have to pay a late fee for any service from ConService!! This is illegal! The late fee(s) is to be paid by the person(your apt complex/owner) who the contract is with! Quit paying late fee's. They are not yours to pay!! 1 more thing- In Ohio, ConService charges (not I!!) a $20 late fee EACH month your bill is not paid in full. Hope my complex enjoys the stupid late fee's they owe when they should have stayed with Ista NA! Also,ConService won't even put the # of occupants & sq footage on your bill? Told me it would make bill to hard to read? This "Company" is a joke!!!

Does your contract say that payments are due on the 1st? If so, then they're just following the contract. Have you tried asking for a change in the due date? Some companies will accomodate this. But it's not a ripoff if they're following the contract.

You think just because I have a job and know how to budget that I don't struggle with bills? WRONG! I would love for you to see all my medical bills that I have to pay! Sometimes I find it hard to pay my bills but if I'm late I know that there will be late fees applied to my account. One thing you need to know about Conservice is the apartment complex you are living in hires them to send you a bill. They are the ones who set up the late fees because guess what? Yup that's right they get most of those late fees back! So if you have a problem you need to bring that up to your apartment's management. I understand that it's hard to pay bills sometimes but you've got to look at the whole picture before placing the blame.

Serek, if that's even your real name. A lot of you tend to use false names at that company. I find your rebuttal to be rude and UNEDUCATED and I'll tell you why. If you would have read the Title of this complaint, the word "Low Income families" almost smacks you right in the face. Do you have ANY idea about what it's like to be one? Budget, you say? Hahahaha. Please tell me you're joking. Half of those people don't have enough money TO budget, let alone pay their "CON Service" bill when with all of the extras you throw into peoples' bills. The way your Gas Base fluctuates, even when it shouldn't, is enough put people in the hole with your shoddy company. So why don't you take your ignorant rebuttal and crawl back to the scamming company that you work for before you ever belittle someone else! How dare you!

First off we don't target low income families. The payments are due for EVERYONE at the beginning of the month. Why don't you try paying your bill at the end of the month or right when you get your bill? You know that you will always have a utility bill due so you should budget your bills out to pay. It's just like with any other utility company, you get late fees for not paying on time. End of story.
