Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
The people at this company knew from the start that I was paying extra on my credit cards, the same amount every month, but took me as a client anyway, promising to save me at least $1500 over what I would pay on my credit cards if I made the minimum payment every month.

That should have been a clue.

They helped me get a lower interest rate on one credit card account, but were unable to help with the second account. They said, "That's OK, we can still do this."

They sent me a 1/2 inch thick "Savings Plan" that explained to me that if I made the minimum monthly payment that the cards required now, and then continued to make the same payment amount every month, I could have my cards paid off in 4 years.

Then they charged me almost $1000 to tell me this. I could have had the cards paid off in 3 years doing what I was already doing and not getting charged almost $1000 for information that I already knew, and they knew that I already knew this information.

When I called them to ask for a refund, they refused, saying they delivered what they promised, which was a plan to save me at least $1500 if I was making the minimum payment.

Avoid this company at all costs! If you read what I wrote, you will know their whole program and it won't cost you a dime. Just pay extra on your credit card bills every month, and make the same payment every month. You don't need this company.

You can also call the credit card companies yourself and ask for a lower interest rate.

I know florida has a very bad rap as far as debt companies go.  I started with debt settlement about five years ago because I really wanted to help people now there's no legit companies to work for in the St Pete,Clearwater,Largo area.  There's no reason not to be legit as far as this business goes.  It's recession-proof.  Personally I took the time to study debt settlement because like I said, I wanted to help people.  I've worked at three places that have been shut down due to improper licensing of the people and the business itself.  You can be a legit business and make alot of money doing this type of work.  I myself will not mislead people or lie to them.  You're dealing with someone's livelyhood.  What if that was you on the other end of the phone?  I plan to continue my work as a debt settlement counselor with my own business as soon as I can find a legit company to do all the back-end negotiations seeing as I'm not YET licensed to do so but I am a licensed credit counselor and licensed by the state.  I can pass any background check.  I will keep everyone posted on what I find out and will post the companies with the best reputation.  In the meantime don't do any of those lower interst rate programs.  If you're in credit card debt why would you add to it.  That's something you can do yourselves.  Anyone can negotiate better rates on their cards by themselves.  I do consulting on the side right now but I will be back doing debt settlement very soon.  I know I can make good money without scamming and lying to people and at the end of the day, I know I might have helped someone out a desperate situation.   Have a good one and please do All the homework no matter how desparate your situation seems.
