Talking sometimes works with more reputable firms, but even then talking fails many times. I would send them a certified, return receipt requested letter requesting a full refund. I would include all pertinent information such as what website, date and time you inadvertantly signed up, plus the date/time and names/telephone numbers of any of their representatives you have spoken with and that you were assured a refund. Don't forget to make copies to keep for your records. You don't state what type of an account it was that they "took" the money from so I can't offer more suggestions. In many cases you can approach your bank or credit card company to dispute the charge/electronic withdrawl. Good luck.
