I was trying to buy a new car and was told my credit was bad. I had a friend tell me that I could check my credit report online.
I signed up for credit report from Consumerinfo.com. I found it unhelpfull and difficult to read. I e-mailed to cancel the same day. Now I find I have been charged $9.95.
When I called to cancel and it took me 10 minutes of telling John that I didn't want their service before he said he cancelled. Of course there will be no refund. He said I should have called earlier!
What a ripoff.
