Continerntal Homes and Interiors was contracted to build our home 3 years ago. The first inclination that something was not right was when I received letters of notice to owners, which is common in the building business, these notices were made out to numerous entities; Continental Inc, Clarke Corporation, Clarke Corporation of Mid-Florida. This was the only home that they, Continental were constructing at the time. At the end of the job there were numerous items on thier punch list to complete., They would never return to fix anything.
So, we hired an engineer to look at our homes construction. We have to second story porches that have leaked so bad that the beams have rotted and the stucco has delaminated. We have since discovered that Continental did not follow the architectural drawins, which called for a metal flashing and waterproofing around the entire paraput wall surroung the roof.. NO waterproofing was used. The brable and granite floors are cracking because there were not enough expansion joints cut into the slab. The tile walkway is cracking because NO expansion joints were installed. The three porch ceilings are cracking because NO expansion joints were installed. The tile on the porch is coming up becase the downspout dumps the water from the garage roof directly on the porch. Concrete was omitted from around many doors and windows (code)
Continental hired an unlisenced electrician for this job
