I have a new MINI cooper country man 2013, purchased in Dec 2012 and I have already had to replace all four of my Continental,205/55 R 17 run flat tires.

The first incident 8/12/2013 I was driving home from work, about 25 minutes, on highway 287.

There was nothing on the highway, and I did not run over anything, and my tire blew out on me, stranding me on the side of the road.

I was only driving for ten minutes when this happened, I hit nothing, and I could have crashed.

I had to have my car towed for 135 dollars, and a new tire, these tires were only about 7 months old at this point.

The second incident, happened about four months later, Dec/16/2013, I pulled out of my drive way and my car said I had a low tire, I got out and checked my tires, keep in mind it had been parked in my garage for a day and a half, and there was a busted seam on my front driver side tire, on the other front tire, there was a giant bubble about to explode on me at any moment and a bubble on one of the rear tires as well, I could have been killed while I was driving, luckily I noticed it in time.

The dealership, and the tire shop, could not find any reason this happened to my new Continental tires, they were obviously faulty, but the company Continental, would do nothing to replace my faulty tires, I have had to pay about 1238 dollars out of my own pocket, to replace faulty Continental tires, that only had 20thousand miles on them.

Let alone the fact that I could have been killed by their tires.

Then my friend who owns a Mercedes told me, she also had to replace her bubbled continental run flat tires in under a year, it makes me wonder if there is already a class action lawsuit for these tires.

I want to warn anyone I can, PLEASE don't buy CONTINENTAL TIRES!

Continental didn't even care enough, to try to fix it or make things right.

They are faulty, and extremely DANGEROUS!

I have receipts, invoices and pictures as proof of all of this.

Colorado,
My suggestion would be to send your information AND photos to the NTSB...

It's a good place to start to make them aware of the ply separations on you tires.  I doubt they'll get your money back, but you could help others with the same sorry tires.  Good luck to you.
