Continental Van Lines Continental Van Lines Pompano Beach FL Lying Crooks! Pompano Beach , Florida
This company is bogus! They are bootleg movers who say anything to get a sale. They will hound you to get you to commit via signed Doc's and a deposit. When you actually need to talk to them they don't respond.
My wife and I moved from NC to FL on Dec 28 2011. Well this company lied to us from the start. They told us that they would base the price on a higher weight which should come out less than the initial quote(Lie).
When we asked (1 week from the move) to remove a shuttle service (the use of a smaller truck to offload furniture to access a tight space) customer service basically said they are not taking it off in the event they decide once they arrive that they need it and the "Big Lie" was that we would only pay for it if the driver decided it was needed once they arrived.
So, these Crooks show up with 2 smaller "rented trucks" instead of the 18 wheeler they were supposed to have to save us money. Keep in mind the 2nd truck was not for our stuff but it had somone elses furniture on it. Once they get to FL, not only do they charge us for the 2 trucks (which all of our stuff did fit on one truck so they never had to transfer any furniture over to a new truck). If that wasn't enough the driver comes to us saying we have 2000 lbs more in weight than estimated.
Customer service stunk from the gate. Once it came down to asking them about issues with price/quote they kept pointing the blame at other people in other departments and conviently that person is not in the office. All I can say is that this company is truly a rip off. I am a real customer/victim of these crooks. I don't intend to let any of these crooks off the hook. Don't be fooled.
