Convention Housing Services/Travel Services Henderson SCAM COMPANY!! Buyer Beware! They do not provide the rooms they promise!! Hendersen, NV Nevada
Shortly after I signed up for a conference in Portland, OR, about seven months in advance, I received a call from this company stating that they were responsible for assisting with vendor housing. They stated that there was a shortage of hotels in the Portland area, and because I am not familiar with the city, I believed that they would assist in getting us the rooms we need.
Although we didn't know the exact hotel for the conference, we booked by the Convention Center, thinking we could change it at any time. We provided credit card information that was meant to hold the room. They charged the card on the very same day we gave the information.
Shortly thereafter, the organization sent around a warning about this company and I attempted to cancel my reservation. I was told that because of the contract, there were no refunds, only credits, and I could book at another hotel. I requested the actual convention hotel, the Hilton, and then they became unresponsive. They have disappeared. No email, no phone and only voicemail.
I tried to dispute the charge with Visa, but they are claiming that I need to wait 120 days from the first charge. I have not been able to get in touch with the company. Now, from what I'm reading, it doesn't seem that I will ever be able to. Visa will be handling this dispute from this point on.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!
