Firstly it stands to mention that CoolZone is being ran out of someone’s house… if that isn’t enough to make you avoid this “company” at all costs maybe my experience with these people will.

My home warranty ( 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty ) hired CoolZone to come out and fix my AC.  When the person arrived he had no tools, arrived in a non-descript truck, and honestly, I wasn’t even sure at first he was the contractor.  I informed him that I believe the problem was a leak in the cool and a broken condensate pump.  He looked at the unit and just agreed.  He ran no tests, again, had no tools, and just took me at my word and went with it.  So off he goes to order the parts to fix the unit ( as they don’t have parts on hand to do this because remember this is a nickel and dime operation being ran out of someone’s basement ) and we sit in our lovely hot house for a week waiting.  The parts come in and they schedule a call 4 days after that to come out between the hours of 2 to 5 so naturally I have to stay home from the office.  Not a biggy, at least the AC is going to get fixed.

So I sit at home ( in my hot house ) all day waiting for the “contractor” to arrive when I get a call at 4PM informing me that he is running behind and it looks like he will be coming closer to 6PM.  Ok… annoying, but doable.  Kinda pissed that I stayed home all day but it is what it is.  So 7PM rolls around still no contractor… and it is 90F in the coldest part of my house… I have over heated animals, over heated wife, and a very little tolerance for bullsh*t at this point.  So I call and I am informed that he is still at the other site and they dispatched another tech to go help him.  I am pissed ( obviously ) when this genius on the other end suggests that we reschedule the call.

We have been sitting without AC for 2 weeks, and this guy wants to reschedule after sending a tech to help the other guy when they could have sent the tech to my house.  I am now furious.  So with that in mind my response is that “No they can’t F&$^ing reschedule and they need to get the techs a*& to my house this night to fix the f&#^ing problem.  This genius responds with that I don’t need to curse because he didn’t curse at me.

No, moron, you aren’t the one sitting in a 90F house waiting for some mediocre excuse for a “tech” to never arrive… why would YOU be irritated enough to curse?  Of course he won’t let the conversation continue until I explain to him using small words that I will stop cursing… apparently he has a one track mind that can’t process the concept of anything outside the basement he is answering calls in.    I make sure that the tech is still coming out, to which he says yes the tech will come out regardless of how late it is.

8PM rolls around and I get a call from 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty informing me that CoolZone cancelled the service call because of an “altercation” on the phone and they didn’t feel comfortable sending the tech out because I am “hostile”.  Me, using the “f word”, damaged the psyche of this delicate little man answering calls in the basement of a house so badly that they were afraid to send the tech out.  So I attempt to get on the phone with CoolZone and of course, they close at 8PM.

These fragile little cowards cancelled the call, then shut off the phones… they didn’t even have the courage to call me and cancel it themselves they put it on some poor person at the home warranty to call a guy they pissed off with their absolute mediocrity.

CoolZone is a joke at best, and a scam at worst.

But hey… ya’ll got my $75 for the initial service call eh?  Enjoy it, and maybe buy yourselves clock.
