Cooper Vision Inc. Deceptive Rebate Offer Fairport New York
On July 31, I bought eight boxes of CooperVision contact lenses from my optometrist, and I was handed a $100 rebate slip. The slip from CooperVision has big blue letters that advertise that the offer is valid from 07/01/2013 to 12/31/2013.
I always had my eye on the big blue print of 12/31/2013, and the slip got piled up with other papers. "I have time," I told myself. "I have until December 31." Finally, I went to apply for the rebate. But, there is tiny microscopic print that says that I have to apply for the rebate within 60 days of purchase!
Why wasn't this in big bold blue print?
There was no customer service number to call on the internet. While tooling around, I found Ripoff Report with several complaints against CooperVision. And there was a number listed. I called it and was told to file all the paperwork and it would be rejected. But I could then call back the customer service phone number and complain after that!
That didn't sound like a very promising plan! I am a little upset, especially after hearing about all the other Ripoffs this company has pulled. I want my rebate!!!
