My fiance and I were looking to purchase a Bengal kitten online because there aren't any certified breeders in our area.  We came across a site, cordialbengals.com, that said they (a man "Jeff" and his "wife") had a litter of 5 and were selling them for $500.00 each.  The website is very informational and seems legitimate.  I filled out the inquiry form and "Jeff" contacted me via email.  I told him what kitten we wanted and he proceeded to send us a contract.  There was nothing tricky about the contract, just mostly about the kittens health, the buyers obligations, and the sellers obligations.  We sent the contract back and he said as soon as payment was processed he would arrange for the kitten to be shipped.  He provided me with the information we needed to make the payment, which included "his" home address. We processed the payment through Western Union where he is registered at Jeff Batis in Massachusetts.  The payment went through, but something just felt strange about it.  I reached out to him again via email and asked how long it would be before we received the kitten.  No response.  I called him, he answered, and I requested that he send me a current photo of the kitten so we could be assured it wasn't a scam.  He said he would send one and not to pay any attention to the bad reviews on the internet.  He also had a very thick foreign accent, which is strange for a man with a very American name.  He never sent a photo.  I looked up the company online and found Cordial Bengals on the Ripoff Report website.  He has apparently done this before using multiple other domain names and once he has scammed enough people he closes the site and starts a new one with the same pictures of the supposed kittens he has for sale and the same website content, different phone number.  The site was first called Nimble Bangles, then Sweet Home Bangles, and now Cordial Bengals, which is still up and running.  On one of the ripoff reports someone mentioned that the home address he provided was a home listed (different from the supposed address he gave me) as for sale on a real estate website.  With that in mind googled the address he provided to me.  Sure enough that home is for sale.  I called the real estate agent at Coldwell Banker and explained our situation.  She told me that the house is currently occupied, so I asked her if she would be willing to verify if Jeff Calson or Jeff Batis lives there.  She said no. He has scammed many people out of $500 and will continue to do so.  He is also using fake addresses and saying he is a certified breeder, when in fact he has no kittens to sell at all.  My fiance got into it with him via text and "Jeff" basically called us stupid and said that we didn't have commen sense.  He said he doesn't feel bad for scamming idiots.  He bragged about scamming us and was proud of it while also insulting us.  It is disgusting that this guy is proud about scamming innocent people.
