I have being a Executive member of Costco for the last 10 years. When i went to Richmond,ca costco to buy some drugs the saleswoman was rude to me. When i said i want to buy Vitamin C and told her to check whether there is a Coupon, she said i should pbuy it to see. When i said i only want to buy if it is on coupon ( sale) he refused and said she can not check that.  This is very bad customer service and the customer is always right and should be trated as a king. I am very disapointed at this emplyee,s attitude and want costco to inquire about this.

Yes, Customer is always right and customer is the king. If you can not do your job, get out. There are 14 million people unemployed and more under employed. The unemployment rate is 10%. According to Ben Bernakae the Fed chairman unfortunatly this will not improve for another 2- 3 years. If be do not buisness and improve the economy how could they get their paay check ?

If you really feel that way go work in a retail store for a day.  If that is too much effort for your high and mighty attitude just stand around any Customer Service Desk for a couple of hours at a major Big Box or Department Store.

Then come back here and tell us you still feel that way.

You obviously don't work in retail if you are delusional enough to think - the customer is always right.

you would not be in business long.

The customer is always right and should be treated like a king is one of the most ridiculous statements I've ever seen.

Ask anyone who works in retail how 'always right' the customers are.  Especially these days.  Just read some of the obnoxious things customers do right on this web site.

Sorry but that is a fallacy that the "Customer is always Right".  It all comes down to attitude.

There are times when the customer is dead wrong, but their attitude is such that the employees are willing to see if there is anything they can do to help.

But if the customer has the "You must bow down to me because I am King and you are nothing but my servant" attitude, don't expect any employee to do anything to try and assist you.

Just based on what you wrote, it sounds like you may be the later situation rather than the former.
