Cottman Transmission charged me $225.00 to diagnose my car told me my transmission needed to be rebuild and it would cost me $1,700.00 I told them I could not afford the price and would come and get the car.

When I got to the shop the reginal manager refused to give my keys until I had given him $225 cash. As a single woman I felt like he had taken advantage of me he also had a sign above the shop that said free check.

Beware ladies, Cottman transmission takes advantage of women becuse they think we are stupid. get a second opinion and do not settle. I am going to court to try and get my money back. only then will I give up.

CIN~~~~ If they told you all they were going to do was the 21 point check for you ~~~there is no charge for this per cottman corporate~~~~this includes a electronic diagnosis~~~~~"if your car is after 1980?" your story didn't say~~~~pre 1980 it is non electric then they should only be able to do hydraulic /driving tests only~~~~the sheet that you recieved should have all the notes of how they determined the results ~~~~~~~if not~~~~~you should have not been charged~~~~~~the problem is people don't know enough to argue the points with a shop thats why they take them into a shop~~~~~~~~~THE TRANZMN~~~~otherwise "they" got you
