well to make a long story short,

my girl friend call to ask about get her transmission rrbuilt.

they even was so nice to even tow it for free, so she had to work the day it was towed, so i went by and asked to how long it would take them to at the very least check it out, and was told 30mins. well it took more then 3 hours, and the they came back with a price of 1400.00 to 1800.00 dollars. that was for them to rebuild it. well i thought that was kinda high, because i had the transmission on my dodge truck rebuilt and it only cost me 1500.00 dollars.

so i went to a salvage yard here in greensboro and when i gave the guy at the counter the info on the car he asked me if i was the guy who just called and i told him no, so i asked him who was the guy and where did here call from, well to make a long story short it was the manager from cottoman transmissin here in greensboro, so i told the guy behide the counter that i had the money in hand and asked him how much it was, it was only 250.00 dollars for the transmission,

so i bought it on the spot while i was doing that one of he other guys went in back and tried to call cottmn transmission tell them that i was there to buy the transmission and i was mad as heck. but the manager was out of the stores so he never got in touch with him, so i call my girl friend to tell her that they where buying a used transmission for 250.00 and was going to try and tell her that he rebuilt it and on top of that was going to try and charge her 1800.00 for the used one,

so i picked up my girl friend so we could go over to cottmans to see what he had to say, on thw way over we decided to not say anything just to give him a chance to come clean on his on, and while i was driving over there i call a tow truck to come and pick up the car and take it to my machenics shop, well when we got there he gave us the sound and dance about rebuilding th transmission and each had the nerve to try and get us to finance it and all told us it would be the higher end as far as the price, and then to add more fuel to the fire he add on a 50.00 dollars to the 1800.00 ,

so in other words he wanted us to pay 1850.00 dollars for the used transmission that only cost 250.00, well before we could tell him that we knew what his plan was the phone rang at the store and he asked us to think about the financing while he was on the phoone well it turns out the phone call was from the salavge yard telling him what had happened and he the choose to have a change of heart, and then tried to say well just in case we choose not to get it rebuilt he had called the salavge yard to put the one they had on hold,

so then we told him that we knew all along that he was going to try and pass off the used one for a rebuilt one, and that s**t was not cool at all an we would report him to the bbb, and i had every intent of telling everyone i know never go to cottman transmission. so don't be blinded by all the smoke and mirrors.

This Report is a HOAX ..Cottman transmisison has been in bussiness in the greensboro location for almost seven years and has never sold or even offered for sale a used automatic transmisison. furthermore why would a junk yard call and tell a shop that some one wants to buy a tansmission? When shops buy parts, we buy at wholesale. When you walk in off the street you pay a retail price usually 15-20% more. And how did the customer get a price if the transmisison was never diassembled ? At Cottman transmisison when there is an Internal transmsmission problem. the transmision will be diassembled and each part inspected for damage. then and only then. can you be quoted a price. it is obvious that the person making this report has never been to cottman. And for this reason I would ask that some proof be shown IE: An invoice repair order or something showing, the vehicle in question and the dates this alegedly took place.if this was real they would have used there name. you can not exact revenge without telling them who you are what good would do ?
