took my van into country chevrolet for a routine oil change.the service tech incorrectly set the rear arms on the lift.as the van was raised, the arms cut through the pinch welds on the rocker panels, and then crushed both rocker panels.when i picked up my van,no one at the dealership bothered to tell me my van had been damaged.after discovering what had happened,i got a repair estimate(4000.00 dollars)and returned to country chevrolet.they offered a 500.00 goodwill gesture because they had not informed about the damage they caused.the owners of country chevrolet refused to pay for any repairs, said my vehicle was worth about  1500.00 dollars, and to be happy with 500.00 dollars, they went as far as to blame all the damage on underbody rust.i contacted general motors customer service, the better business bureau, and the mn. attorney general.each one was told about the great customer service country chevrolet offers, that rust caused the damage, and that their service department makes no mistakes.after a 12 week run around,i finally turned this into my auto insurance company.the adjuster fully inspected my van, took lots of pictures.he determined, that what little bit of underbody rust was present on my van,had nothing to do with the damage that happened at country chevrolet,he also determined the 1500.00 dollar value they quoted me was 2500.00 low.my insurance company will now be turning this in to country chevrolet's insurance company, something country chevrolet should have done for me.can you imagine trying to tell your insurance agent your vehicle was involved in a accident with a floor jack?
