We had a contract for 20 rooms for the wedding party and out of town guests, as well as the bridal suite for the bride and groom.

Several of our group checked into the hotel before the reception. At the end of the night when our guests went to the hotel they found other people sleeping in their rooms. Even the bridal suite was given away to another person. Just what a bride and groom would want on their wedding night, a stranger staying in their room with them.

At this point we discovered that several of our guests were given the same room key (room 319). When we called the hotel to inquire what was going on, we were told to call Lupe (the manager on duty) at 630-456-3117.

When the bride called to find out what was going on with the rooms, Lupe hung up the telephone, refusing to explain why several guests were charged for their rooms and given the same room key.

The hotel refused to give our guests new rooms saying they did not have any rooms available. They refused to help our guests find another hotel and they refused to refund their money.

We have tried to contact Katie Gresmer at 630-279-0100 who is the general manager as well as the owner Ralph (last name not given) to find out what happened. They are not willing to pick up the telephone to give us an answer.

If anyone would like to call Lupe and Katie to see if they can get an answer, please feel free to do so.

I also called the hotel headquarters and their response was to have us take it up with the owner of the Country Inn and Suites in Bensenville. Clearly they are not concerned with their reputation.

All consumers beware if you have plans to stay at the Country Inn and Suites O'Hare South hotel, you may not have a room even after you register, or you may have unexpected guests staying in your room with you.

If you had a contract

If you had a contract, written, you have proof of breach. You should file a lawsuit against them. A few questions. Did all of your guests check in before the required cutoff time? Many hotels hold reservations until a time certain, at that point if no guest has checked in they assume they will not show. They then offer the rooms on a first come, first served basis. Check the hotel's policy on this.

I guess they did not teach you how to read in Alabama. I never said they shared their rooms, I only said that there were people sleeping in their rooms when they returned to them after the wedding. Have a great day peter.

To Frank and everyone else here, DON'T take ANYTHING Peter from 'Pony, Alabama' has to say. He has been making BOGUS reports on this site for some time. If you would like to read a few of them, check out report #184304 about himself being a post-op transvestite, #149096 about himself going to gay strip clubs, and MY personal favorite #197356 about him trying to purchase gourmet food from a piggly wiggly with FOOD STAMPS. And just to let every one know, there is NO such place as 'PONY, ALABAMA' And I do beleave he has a new one here also, report #199175 about someone spying on a woman at a SuperTarget. Read it and let us know what others think about Peter. And Peter, I look forward to YOUR response.

So they DIDN'T end up sharing a room overnight with complete strangers as you previously stated more than once. Hmmmm... Methinks if you want to resolve your complaint, it might be best not to lie about what actually happened. I think I understand now why the hotel is unwilling to further discuss your exaggerated claim with you, and I can't say that I blame them.

I am sorry I forgot to say that we put our guests up in another hotel for the night. This way they would have a room all to themselves.

There were really strangers staying in the same room with you? I have never heard of such a thing. What friendly strangers indeed. Most people would never let strangers stay overnight in their room. Did the hotel at least provide bunk beds for your convenience?
