Country Pride Food Services Home of the Outrageous $4700 "Grocery Bill"Internet
If you ever happen to walk by a sign advertising Country Pride Food Services, and are tempted to give them a call to set up an in-home visit....go get a root canal....you'll be happier with the results.
I speak from experience. I ended my "relationship" with Country Pride today after being informed that my food order amounted to $4,738. But wait !!! Because I bought a set of "state-of-the-art" pots and pans (whose handles loosened and fell off), and a "state-of-the-art" upright freezer ( which grows 6 inch polar ice blocks three times a year), I qualified for a LIFETIME 50% off each and every order. So, now my grocery bill totaled $2,369. What?
They send you an order form where there are no prices. They charge you for shipping based on the weight of what you've selected. AND.....and this next thing was NOT part of our original deal....you have to place an order of a minimum of $1000. You are at their mercy as far as the 50% discount.
Now, if you're impressed with a couple of men pulling up to your house, box cutting away at cardboard boxes and neatly packing up the recently defrosted freezer...County Pride is for you. If you are interested in items such as stuffed pork chops, with no suggested cooking instructions...Country Pride is for you. If you're carrying a pot of boiling pasta from stove to sink and one of the handles snaps off in your hands.....well ....you get the picture. (In their defense...they sent us a bag of extra handles in the mail.)
Stay away from this company. You would do better watching sales at local grocery stores. You would even make out better taking advantage of those services which deliver your grocery order to your door.
Anyone want some pots and pans and a freezer?
