My son had the exact same problems with Countrywide Home Loans as did #198010. The difference is my son will probably lose his home and the 25 thousand dollars of equity that he has in it.

He was late on a couple of payments, they demanded extra payments or his house would be sold at auction. When he complied, that also said they never got the money. After trying to get confirmation they then said that the money went into an escrow account and he had to put up more money.

When all of this was going down, the loan was sold to Freddie Mac. Countrywide said they were going to keep the 11,000 dollars he sent. My son contacted Freddie Mac and they said there is nothing they can do since the house has been sent to auction.

My son spent 4 years in the Navy defending this country has a standard 30 fixed mortgage and he will be losing 25,000 dollars of his equity. His wife two girls and 6 month old will be out on the streets all because of Countrywide Home Loan

Countrywide does not post payments made then purposely report you late

Countrywide does not post payments then they purposely report you late so they can foreclose & steal your home 90 day's later. This Is why so many people are having problem's with countrywide & other mortage companies they steal your money ruin your credit on purpose, and then foreclose on your home. This Is what Is happening why so many people are losing there homes because of countrywides dishonesty & other mortage companies. I have Sympathy for people who have lost there homes because of this, because I had a car got repoe because the finance company because they would not update there records or post my payments. And purposely reported me late then they stole my vehicle, but I got another vehicle. Sense I can't trust car finance companies or mortage companies to do the right thing I have to stay ontop of them to make sure the payments are posted to my account correctly. My last car finance place really burned me.

I have a sub prime loan, I also have a fixed rate, I held out to get it being able to afford the loan I made to keep the home I needed was more important to me than anything on earth other than my children. I drive a 15 year old car while friends and neighbors drive brand new cars and cannot make their mortgage payments. Do I want to "cash in" on a $30,000 to $50,000 offer I receive almost weekly to get a new car, take a vacation or get a new kitchen ...hell yes I do!! Can I afford my home afterward...NO! It's not only the home loans it's the equity loans that looked so good at the time that put people in the position they are in now!

People aren't complaining about having to pay there mortage payment. They are complaining that countrywide & other mortage companies still trying to take there home while they are making there payments. People just amaze me how they can still judge people & accuse them of not making there mortage payment. These mortage companies are purposely reporting people late & the people think everything Is fine & keep paying there payments then they get foreclosed on. Also whut you have It all wrong, these banks & mortage companies want a free ride & still screw people over for there riches. You must work for a bank or one of these mortage companies who take part In deceiving people.

To whut people are making there payments on there loan, people are not trying to get a free ride. What people don't like Is mortage companies trying to scam them & steal there money even when they are making there payments. That Is whats unfair whut. That Is why we have a mortage crisis today because of this. It seems the mortages companies are trying to get a free ride while kicking people out of there homes.

The payments are being made ontime. But what I am trying to get across that countrywide & other mortage companies are still reporting people late & 90 days goes buy & they foreclose on peoples homes. People think the mortage companies are doing what they are suppose to be doing then when they check there credit they get a big suprise. Well people need to save all there receipts to show they paid the payments every month.

""It Is the mortage companies fault they gave loans to people who couldn't afford It. Then the mortage companies raised payments commited fraud."" OH? Better review the FACTS before you sound off Chuckles. Banks were coerced into granting mortgages to folks who couldn't afford them (pay them back) by OUR government. Specifically, they were pressured by the Justice Department (Janet Reno-Bill Clinton appointed attorney general) to increase the percentage of low-income mortgages in their portfolios. This was done under the guise of creating "affordable housing" for low income folks Fanny Mae bought up most of these foolish loans. The head of Fanny Mae was compensated about 60 MILLION for this foolishness. In 2004 some senators attempted to create more oversight for Fanny and Freddie, but guess which party opposed such increased oversight? Your beloved Democractic Party. Now, we have a 700 BILLION bailout which makes CHUMPS out of me and everyone else who worked hard to AFFORD a home and played by the rules. Now, our government is gonna buy these bad mortgages and actually REDUCE the principal balance of the delinquent loans, so folks as I are paying for our homes and the homes of folks who NEVER should have been granted a mortgage. A certain presidential candidate refers to this as "spreading the wealth." Say hello to the United Socialist States of America.

If Countrywide "goes down" IF you do not make your payments you CANNOT keep the home! I am not the only person on earth that is so TIRED of people bitching about having a mortgage payment YOU MADE THE BILL PAY IT!! People use to take pride in paying what they owe, now everyone thinks they DESERVE a free ride, it's embarassing to read the whining on this complaint web site!

Always blame the consumer, countrywide has stole peoples houses, buy taking there payments setting them aside & the people don't know what Is going on they think countrywide Is doing what there suppose to be doing so they don't worry. Then 90 days go buy they get served with a forcloser notice, well people need to save all there payment receipts & records to show they have been making there payments. Well bill heard went down. Countrywide will go down.

Always blame the consumer. It Is shocking & hard to believe that mortage companies would do this to people, but its the truth. It Is the mortage companies fault they gave loans to people who couldn't afford It. Then the mortage companies raised payments commited fraud. The main problem Is even when people make there payments ontime these mortage companies still try there sneaky ways. Reporting negative information 30 days late on peoples credit report. Then the mortage companies are taking peoples money setting it aside so they could add late charges not applying to there accounts, then 90 days later they foreclose on peoples property. This Is why we have a mortage crisis today. Because of dishonest mortage companies. This Is stealing peoples homes & there money.

so what do you suggest they do?

I am curious. People do not pay their mortgage and the mortgage companies are to do what exactly? Just say "that is ok, we do not expect payment"? There is alot people do not understand............Mortgage companies have screwed up that is for sure, but people HAVE to take responsiblity for taking out payments they KNEW they could not afford, stop buying crap they can not afford, car payments and then expect the mortgage companies to just sit by and say "that's ok, be late, and stay in the home". If you are late, you gotta expect repurcusions........Get caught up or yes it will go into forclousure. It isn't hard to figure out. Would you wish to not get paid if someone owed YOU money? I have to inspect these homes people lived in and who trashed them out, did not care for them and then complain that the mortgage company screwed them over. Do I have compasion, sure, but I also expect people to work two jobs if need be to get caught up on payments like my husband and I do. We live in a small house ........why? Because that is what we can AFFORD and we do not expect anyone to BAIL us out.

Countrywide purposely report people late

#16Consumer Comment

It would help if these mortage companies will quit commiting fraud, & putting false information on peoples credit reports not updating there records to payments made. This Is whats going on these mortage companies including countrywide are not updating peoples accounts the putting them late on the credit files then after 90 days they foreclose on there homes. Countrywide should be punished for ruining innocent peoples credit reports buy reporting negative information on there credit report when people are making there payments on time. These mortage companies are getting big $ for foreclosing on peoples homes why do you think people are In this mortage crisis. Because of mortage companies who commit fraud & putting false information on there credit report, and not applying payments. Countrywide purposely report late. This Is wrong I am sure bank of america does this to people to steal there homes & they end up on the street, this Is surely living the american dream. These mortage companies who practice In these deceptive & commiting fraud will end up like Bill Heard. Countrywide Is ruining innocent people.
