this is in response to my rebuttal of 2/16/08. I was employed by this company from Aug 95 to April of 07. At first, Covenant was one of the best Company's to work for. Their commitment to their drivers was great. In 2000 they moved into their new Building, put everyone behind locked doors and did a complete 360 from their previous policy. As they acquired other companies their drivers that were with them for years were neglected. The government was giving them a good check for each student they hired so why should they care about you. They got the money even if the student quit, wich was often. in Sept 2006, they decided to put the company into dividiond and our miles were cut even more. They also got rid of dispatchers that had been there for years and put inexperienced idiots with less than 5 yrs expierence in their place. I always took a weeks vacation at Christmas and that year was informed by my dispatcher, Michelle, that the policy had changed and we were no longer allowed vacation time only the pay. when I quit in April it was because, again had to fight for time off. I was scheduled for April 12th it was the 15th. I informed dispatch I had a job offer and was taking it and was quitting. Three weeks later I was still and employee. I would not recommend this company or any large company to even my worst enemy
