CoverModels Management Inc. Viresh Pujara Fraud, Scam, Manipulative, Dishonest Ottawa Ontario Canada
Be wary of Viresh Pujara. My first meeting with Viresh Pujara was at Bridgehead. He came in all scruffy and sweaty with a poor dress code for a meeting. Nonetheless, I didn’t judge him for how he looked; I gave him the benefit of the doubt. So the interview began and by the end of it, he convinced me to become a model for his business called CoverModels Management Inc.
No official contract was mentioned which I found quite odd. He insisted that no contract was needed until I would get signed with an agency. He also mentioned that I was only to pay the photographers to edit the photos that were taken. The funny thing is, I was to give the money directly to Viresh, and he would then forward the money to the photographers, so he says. No receipts were ever provided by Viresh even upon asking multiple times. Likewise for the photo prints that I paid for, each time I’d ask for my prints that I paid a month ago, he would always get mad and change the subject.
Luckily for me, the photographers that I worked with were kind and down to earth people, looking for nothing but fun and experience. I spoke with two of the photographers that I worked with, and they clearly advised me that they were taking photos of models voluntarily as it was for experience and to also better help the local models here in Ottawa.
Now this is what you have to understand. Viresh saw this as an opportunity; he saw this as a money deal. Not bad at all, it’s normal to pay a photographer for their work and their prints, so it wouldn’t come in to question rather Viresh would be taking the money for himself. This is how Viresh built his so called business, by pure fraud.
I nearly lost up to 1000$... but I learned my lesson. DO YOUR RESEARCH. There are plenty of resources online, like this one, telling you to stay away from this man - Viresh Pujara. There are plenty of other renowned agencies / management businesses in Ottawa with a formidable reputation that seek to help you advance in your adventurous path of becoming a model.
I hope that this article helps you. Please be cautious if you wish to stay in business with Viresh Pujara. He’s completely untrustworthy, and he will squeeze as much money out of you as possible.
