You sound like you work for Cox. Many others have experienced the same harassment from Cox, as with seniors who demand respect and service, and do not spend senselessly. I am 100% certain someone is tampering with my account, because there are other issues I did not detail. First, when I scheduled the service call, I was asked if I had a dog. I told them yes. When the gut came, he saw my dog sitting in the corner, and began panicking. He was terrified of dogs. This is typical of the type of issues that take place constantly. The odds are way beyond normal of so many issues so consistently. I also have proof that the bill was paid, and sent it to them. I just keep getting the same canned response, "There is no record of your payment in our system". You are a shill for Cox buddy, that's obviously paid to patrol sites like this to try and repair damage done by honest consumers who are ripped off and harassed. No one would take the time to defend an indefensible position from someone that can prove what he said, particularly when the culprit is a major corporation with a history of similar offenses.

I am not saying you don't have billing or service issues. But they are not going to hold any grudges if you make a complaint. I had Cox(and would still have them if it was available in my area) and made a couple of complaints against them. Yet was never retaliated against..in fact my biggest issue with them resulted in me getting 2 months of free Internet Service and 1/2 off my Cable bill for a month.
You are basically saying that someone at Cox is so pissed at you that they spent the time to monitor your account. Then when they see you made a payment to just magically "erase" the payment from their entire system. Not only would someone at a lower level NOT have the power to do this, they wouldn't risk their job for something like this.
But let's just take a look at what they would have to do. First they would have to just erase the payment from your account..this is probably the easiest of all of the steps but still not easy with the safeguards that are probably in place. Of course since you made the payment on-line, it requires that someone monitor your account on a daily(if not hourly) basis to see when you made a payment. Now, once it is removed from your account you still have the problem of the money that was taken out of your account is still floating around their system. So their ledgers no longer match..yes even a $50-$200 difference would be noticed by their accountants. So this same person who wiped out your payment would have to magically remove this transaction from every one of their accounting systems by most likely having it go back on your bank or credit card. Of course this has to be done without a trace, so they can't just do a simple credit..they have to make it look like it never occurred.
Sounds totally logical and something that happens everyday right?
