I'll add my complaint to the already large number of complaints towards Cox Communications. I will only explain my recent issue since I would be here all day describing my problems since last December.

I signed up for a phone line after a tech promised me he could install it correctly without it effecting my cable. So I gave Cox a fourth try. All was done correctly execpt my phone line does not always work. Sometimes a message comes up for the person callling that the phone line has been disconnected???

Anyway, I signed up for the "Simple Three" which includes caller ID, call waiting and voicemail for $19.95. I told the tech that I did not want call waiting but I would take it to get the price listed.

I get my first bill and there is no call waiting listed. So I was charged for $5.95 for caller id, $11.95 for the line, and $6.95 for voicemail. Thats a total of $24.85.

I contacted cox online and they told me that since I did not ask for the simple three that they would not credit me the diffrence. We are talking about a whopping $5 here. Sigh!

The tech told me he got the call waiting disabled so I would not have to worry about it. Hmmm, this is my fault....riiiight!

Anyway, I have been waiting for over an hour for a supervisor to respond to me. I will be advising the FCC of this and possibly the BBB. I heard the BBB is not a good source to use.

I would normally let $5 slide, but every month my bill is high. I paid $400 to get my internet installed, gone through three cable routers and have had a month of outage without any credits given even when I have asked.

You cant say that cox false advertises their company name. There are exactly that....Cox!!!!

I have heard nothing but complaints about Cox. The ONLY reason why most people have Cox is because they dont have any other choice. Trust me I was able to get a dish and quit giving Cox my hard earned money. Go to the FCC they will listen and they will take your report seriously. Cox can not think they are going to stay in business if they keep treating their customers the way they do. SOMETHING THEY SHOULD THINK ABOUT
