Switched from Qwest to Cox to combine bills and so called "save" money. Much like the cable service, there is hidden charges they neglect to tell you about and you don't know until you are billed. So, "savings" is a big lie.

Aside from that, I traded a reliable service for out and out crap! I've had the service for 5 weeks and in that time, I've only had a working phone for six days. The first guy they sent out screwed the wiring up so bad, it took three return visits to resolve. This took at least 3 - 4 days to schedule every time, so I was completely without a phone for the first two 2.5 weeks.

The "customer service" people were sassy and rude more than half the time.

I missed out on a job opportunity because of this, because the company could not get a hold of me (no, I don't have a cell phone). How can they make things right for that? Answer is THEY CAN'T and/or won't.

After they finally got the phone "working", I've had a few days of a working phone, with it going out every time the wind blows. This also takes 3 - 4 days to get help every time.

WARNING - Cox digital phone sucks worse than anything and ONLY get it if you really don't want a phone. I'm so mad I'm going to cancel all services with them and switch to anybody else BUT them.

I see there has been many reports on them and can't believe any goverment agency has not been involved.

I moved to Las Vegas about 3 years ago and have had service with them since day one. I've never had any hidden charges on my bills and the customer service reps have ALWAYS been helpful and polite with me. The only time I ever had a problem with them (and it was more of a mistake than a problem) was when a tech came out to fix my internet...he did some re-wireing and forgot to connect the cable back up in my bedroom. It was no problem, they had someone come back and fix it and even gave me a credit on my account.

I have had Cox for the last 5 years and they have been great. My bills are not overcharged and the prices ARE CHEAPER then Qwest. I have had no trouble with cox, in fact, cox has been great. My phone, internet and cable has never been shut off for any reason. Not only that, but, whenever I call, The sales reps are freindly and ask if they have permission to access your account. Unlike Qwest. Another thing with Cox, They are willing to help you over the phone or over the internet if you have a problem with your services instead of wasting your money to send someone out. I have never had a problem with Cox and I will never Change company's.
