If you are thinking about getting into the Trucking Industry, DO NOT use this company.
I have now wasted 9 months with CREngland. These people are so incompetent. I live in NC, and they send me to a school in TX. KNOWING that my CDL will NOT transfer back.
I was stranded 2 times regarding this problem. They use a hotel's street address for residency in Texas, that Austin KNOWS and has stopped issuing DL's to anyone using that address. With that being said, TX never mailed my full Class A CDL. I was able to sign a lease and drive 4 months, before they realized that I only had a Class A Learners Permit, which I also didn't know because it looked like a valid CDL to me being from NC. Then I get parked in Laredo, TX for 2 weeks before Thanksgiving when they finally catch on.
So while I'm parked fighting with them everyday on the phone for two weeks, and told them that I had ran out of food because my partner ate it all before he bailed on me (who was a student, that they GLADLY hustled out of there) they told me "its not OUR problem, I'm sure you can figure something out) Well I did, I had no money to get home, they shut down my fuel cards so I couldn't get an advance TO get something to eat. So I end up dumpster diving looking for scraps of food in the trash cans at the T/A Laredo like a homeless person. I survived for 2 weeks like that. I'm sure our military might have had to do that on Deployment out of desperation, but I shouldn't have had to here in the US with a big Trucking Company.
Now I am back home as of Jan 5th trying to flip my CDL (which BTW on an MVR, comes back as a full Class A CDL.) But, since North Carolina doesn't recognize TX or IN CDL's because they cause a problem with being CDL factories, I now have to take the Written Exam (which I completed the day I got home). AND I have to take the Skills Test all over, and as of Jan 8th, the first available appointment to do that was January 29. Of course I grabbed the appointment and am waiting for it now.
They constantly call me to see why i haven't accepted any loads (uh, maybe because I can't legally?) Why I'm sitting in NC? and after chewing them out each time i get on the phone with them and repeating the same story like they have never heard this before. When are you going to bring the truck back? After I get my NCCDL! That's when. Try and come get this truck! It's still under my name and you will not get it back until I finish what you should have taken care of in the first place.
So to conclude, If ANYONE reads this, out of nine months of working for them, I have brought home 4 settlements over 1000 dollars, averaging 5.5k miles a week. 16 settlements of 400 dollars or less with the same mileage, and 16 settlements of NO MONEY AT ALL.
If you are even REMOTELY thinking about England, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! I promise you will be better off.
