Following is a company that almost got me but because I do know quite a bit about the Real Estate industry, I was not dooped. Following is the ad that was placed on Monster.com. It really did sound too good to be true. We as consumers should hold job websites accountable for advertising scams.

This ad appeared 48 times on the MONSTER.COM website.

So I contacted the number and I spoke to Christine Watkins who said that she started the company herself about 5 years ago in Atlanta. I tried asking her a few questions but she was really vague. She advised me to join the conference call on Saturday, August 7, at 8:00 a.m. via Webex.com I was a little skeptical because I asked her what apartment complexes she had secured for the program and she couldn't give me a name nor a correct street name in the city of Chicag. She also sent an email link to register for the call. The meeting number was 731 122 555. The conference of course did not start on time but I wasn't alarmed by that. Once it did start you could either call in on the provided number which was NOT an 800 number. Most conferences that I have set up in the workplace in the past gave the participant the option to call in on an 800# which was charged to the company inviting the participant. They would of course list it as an expense at the end of the year for taxes.

The call starts with Kyla Bell introducing herself as a regional manager for the East Coast. After 15 minutes of barbage relating to why the website was not functioning properly, Christine Watkins gets on the phone and introduces herself and the company. She also advised potential employees log onto the webex.com to view the Powerpoint presentation. During the presentation she explained that all that there was no fee for employees but if we were to start after September 1 there would be a $100.00 sign up fee for training materials.

Christine explained that all agents were independant and that we would have to fill out a 1099 form and fax it back to the headquarters in Atlanta, GA. She also said that we could refer other agents to work under us (MLM) and receive a portion of their commissions (10%).

We were advised to have them email [email protected] and to enter our employee number. We also made up a 4 digit code as our employee number. We would have to write it on the tope of the application. She also advised people on the Westcoast should report to John Jarred AND Rex Jones who was also combining their Credit Building company. His fees were going to offered in conjuction with the new application for a small fee of $599.00.

There was also participants on the call that worked directly for the company. I could tell because the same people spoke over and over again. That seemed strange. Whenever I tried asking a legitimate question, I was interrupted almost immediately by one of the managers. When it happened once I wasn't alarmed but after 3 times, my suspicions were raised.

Christine made a comment that sealed the deal for me. This is how I knew that it was a scam. Christine stated that the company secured apartment buildings in Chicago and placed tenants in them. Tge applicant is placed in an apartment he/she signs the lease and also what is called an EVICTION WAIVER. This waiver is supposedly used in place of the 5 day notice and going to court is unnecessary in Illinois. I know for a fact that Landlord/Tenant laws are pretty strict in Illinois and there is no such rule or waiver. She as=lso stated that Creative Leasing Consultants would go to court to evict the person and the judge would be shown the waiver. I asked her how Creative Leasing, Inc. had the authority to evict someone when all they provided was a tenant to the building. They had no authority to act as owner/agent or manager. There was silence and someone of course asked a question unrelated to what I asked.

THE PROGRAM IS AS FOLLOWS FOR Mobile Leasing Agents USING THE SERVICES:

1) Take an application over the telephone.

2) Fax it over to Atlanta headquarters for approval to phone number 888-750-6939. Efax number 413-604-3215.

3) After it is approved (99.5% of all of the apps are according to Kyla and Christine), collect a $99.00 fee from the consumer.

4) Use airborne to send the payment. Use Airborne account number: 776971050. We were also advised that usage of Airbore for personal reasons would be monitored and anyone caught would be fired.

5) After the funds were received the list of available apartments in the area would be emailed or faxed to the Mobile Leasing AGENT to report to the consumer/apartment applicant.

6) After he/she chooses an apartment, a one month security deposit would be collected in cash, check or money order and also airborned to Creative Leasing, Inc. All checks and money orders should be copied and faxed over before it reaches the office. There was never a mention of giving the applicant a receipt.

ADVERTISING:

Kyla Bell and Christine Watkins also suggested that we (agents in the same area) all pitch in to place an Ad in USA today to generate calls because it is the most read periodical in the Nation.

Kyla Bell and Christine Watkins also suggested that we rent a KIOSK in a mall in our state because it would generate people to work in your downline which would in turn create more residuals for yourself.

Kyla Bell and Christine Watkins also suggested that we create flyers and visit the local KMART or Walmart because these are high traffic areas.

INCENTIVES:

If a Mobile Leasing Agent rents:

25 apartments per week for a total of 100 apartments per month, he/she would received 20% of all security deposits.

50 apartments per week for a total of 200 leases per month would earn the same commission of 20% but would also receive a residual income of $10.00 per month per apartment rented.

100 per week for a total of 400 apartments per month month would earn 20% on the total monies collected, $10.00 residual income per month on each lease, a Nextel Pager paid for one year with unlimited minutes, local and long distance.

Anyone that leased over 400 apartments per month would receive $15,000 in cash or a new car the first time but could only win once. The new car would have to display the logo of Creative Living Solutions on the bumper.

GETTING PAID:

Mobile Leasing Agents could opt to purchase Creative Leasing Solutions Visa/Mastercard for a one-time fee of $29.00. The ML Agents earnngs could be deposted onto the card within 48 hours or the agent could allow his/her monies to accumulate to be paid once a month on the 20th.

All applications could be faxed over immediately after the meeting and we could start working RIGHT AWAY. The application and 1099 which has all of your personal information including social security would be in the hands of this company.

Please beware. I am going to report this scam to every media outlet available.
