Crescent Bank And Trust ripoff repossess mourning children's deceased mother's vehichle. New Orleans Louisiana
My mother past away in December of 2003. I was supposed to be the co-signer on the loan. We were suppose to have Credit Life and Disability Insurance on my mother and myself. When Crescent Bank and Trust was contacted about her death, of course, all of a sudden she was not covered with the insurance.
I faxed back and forth paperwork in January with "Sherry". Not once was I informed about any late or unpaid payments. Then in February, I came home to no vehicle. I spoke to Jim Morris about the situation from the beginning. When I called to find out what happened to my vehicle, Crescent Bank and Trust then and only then informed me of late payments.
I made a payment of $1035.02 to have my vehicle returned back to me. Before the car came back, the car was sent to the auto auction. Jim Morris and Ernest Russell faxed papers to the respossession company to send the car to the auto auction. A letter stating to me on Feb. 16th, that I had until the 26th to get my car. Needless to say that is not what happened. My car also came back damaged which I had to repair out of pocket.
Now I am trying to pay off the remaining balance that I owe to them. I am getting the run around. I called and spoke to Jim Morris and was told I owed $1585. Then said it was $2400. So I called and spoke to Bryan Schayot. He would not fax me any paperwork showing how much is left on the balance. He would only tell me the amount (which is $1588.89) and where to send it. I want to pay these people off to be rid of them but they seem to keep wanting to stick it to me. What am I to do?
