Unfortunately, your real complaint should be with the seller on Ebay. They sold you a phone that was reported to Cricket as Lost/Stolen. Even though you state that you bought them from a "reputable" dealer, you can't trust everyone. Also, to clear up the issue of whether the phones are "clear" or not, I know what was done. As far as anyone at the Customer Service call center for Cricket can do (which I worked at), we can ONLY see if the phone is CURRENTLY ACTIVE on someone else's account. We CANNOT see if the phone has been reported as Lost/Stolen. Therefore, when that phone is called in to Customer Service or taken in to a Company-owned store to be re-activated, THAT is when the system tells us that the phone has been reported Lost/Stolen and it will NOT let us reactivate the phone. Sorry, but your problem lies with the "seller" on Ebay that you bought those phones from, not Cricket. Complain to THAT seller. Also, if you're "flashing" phones that are originally manufactured for other service providers (like a "Cricket" phone flashed for Verizon service), I hope that you are telling your customers that you are selling the cell phones to that they may NOT work 100% correctly with the service provider that it's been "flashed" for. They may try to come at YOU for that complaint.
