Cricket Rebate Rip Off Englewood Colorado
On 02/20/2009, after I received a letter from Cricket that informed: "The submission does not include an original UPC from a qualifying handset,
An original ESN from a qualifying wireless phone was not included with your submission", I called the Cricket Department: 1-888-326-6178 to check and understand why my rebate was rejected or declined. Because I didn't understand why it was rejected after I followed the instruction to the teeth by:
1. I enclosed a photocopy of my sales receipt or order confirmation sheet
for the Wireless Broadband USB purchased.
2. I circled the purchase date.
3. The entire IMEI/proof-of-purchase label from the modem box.
I cut the entire label from the actual modem box.
4. Had written down Cricket account and ESN# on rebate form.
The female customer answered the phone and asked for my address. I gave my address to the female customer because that's how she would be able to check the status of my rebate. The female customer said they never received the ESN#. I couldn't believe it and I said that's a lie, and that they had received it, and that they didn't want to pay me $50.00. I also said I taped the entire IMEI/proof-of-purchase label from the modem box that I cut from the entire label from the actual modem box. I even said I was going to report to the news media and I hung up.
Later, I actually emailed my complaint concerning Cricket Rip Off Rebate Fraud at www.news9.com. I hope to get some answer from the reporter of News9. Also, I wrote a complaint letter to the Federal Trade Commission and the Better Business Bureau concerning Cricket's continuous lying money hungry deceiving scumbags!!!! According to the BBB, it gives the big fat "F" for rating. I just wish I knew about Cricket 's bad business practice before I ever ordered anything from Cricket!!!
