Momma Dee of “Love & Hip-Hop: Atlanta” has been recently riding a wave of positivity. From her song “I Deserve” climbing to #3 on the iTunes charts, to her upcoming Shoot Fit for a Queen in Miami, to her soon-to-be-released Queen Collection of fine clothing, and many other business opportunities in the works, “The Queen” is currently receiving a revitalized look and makeover…a move she credits to both her manager, Ricardo Kelly of Crowd Control Entertainment, and her publicist, Bernadette Giacomazzo of KBPR, LLC.
In fact, when her hit song “I Deserve” premiered during the Angie Martinez Show on NY’s Power 105, Momma Dee — born Deborah Bryant — credited both her manager Ricardo & her publicist Bernadette with the success, along with the upcoming shoot’s videographer, Amseshem Foluke’ of The Pow King Productions.
Unfortunately, with every positive move comes someone negative trying to tear it all down…and no less of an example has been demonstrated than in the case of Sharika Sawer, better known as “Michelle Banks” of Michelle Banks PR, who — after she was fired from her position as Momma Dee’s publicist — illegally and unethically accessed Momma Dee’s Twitter, posting threats and slander against Ricardo Kelly & Crowd Control Entertainment, Bernadette Giacomazzo & KBPR, & Momma Dee herself. (Momma Dee’s Twitter has since been deactivated, pending the final outcome of this unfortunate matter.)
Through her publicist, Bernadette Giacomazzo of KBPR, Momma Dee made the following statement: “It is unfortunate that my steps to positively improve, not only my life, but the lives of my loved ones & colleagues, have attempted to be thwarted by an obviously disgruntled ex-employee with an unfounded vendetta against the trusted members of my team. However, God is in control of such things, and I refuse to let such things veer me off course. I will continue to be positive in both my behavior and my influence, and I will rise above such nonsense. I will be back on Twitter as soon as this matter is cleared up, and I wish Sharika Sawer — or “Michelle Banks,” or whatever she chooses to call herself — nothing but the best. I hope she has learned from this unfortunate mistake — that it is unethical and illegal to access a clients’ social media account once her services are no longer needed — and I trust that this lesson will be applied to any potential future clients she may have. In conclusion, I forgive her for her actions against me, and I respectfully ask that she cease with her threats against my team, and keep her future behavior professional.”
