Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
We just returned from Oregon where we attended a family reunion. We rented a 30' RV from this wonderful company and they made our dreams come true.

No one showed us any video on how to run anything nor did they show us how to empty the black and grey tanks. Lucky for us my husband talks to a guy at his work and he knew how to do this.

We took off for Oregon in the evening since we had our grandchildren with us and from the moment we hit that freeway I knew this was going to be a huge nightmare.

That piece of crap made so much noise you couldn't hear yourself think let alone talk. Thankfully our grandchildren were able to sleep through the noise.

My husband and I decided on a motor home for this trip as we are both recovering from back surgery and our surgeon felt this was the best way for us to travel. Boy what a mistake and a joke Cruise America is.

Every turn the drawers opened and closed we had to tape them shut but it didn't do any good as the stupid thing either had no shocks or struts or they were just plain worn out. Every time we hit a bump in the road you went airborne, which was really great for two persons who had just had back surgery.

The windows rattled so hard I thought they would fall out at any moment.

The air conditioner & generator would not work. We had to drive with all the windows open so not only were we subjected to the rattling tird we now had to also be exposed to the nasty environment and noise from the traffic.

We had no hot water the entire trip so that meant no showering in the RV.

The indicators lights showed the tanks to be 3/4 full when they should have shown empty so I don't know if they worked or not. I'm sure they didn't.

We get to the camp site and set up. We didn't have a full hook up only water and electricity. Here's where the fun begins.

The campground was beautiful and very clean and nice showers that we had to use because our wonderful RV had no hot water. I am very thankful the showers were nice at the state run park normally there are not.

The toilet was used by us possibly 3 or 4 times and when flushed the last time nothing would go down because the tanks were full. Now we have a toilet full of S--- and the shower is full of grey water.

I informed my husband of the problem so he goes to find a hose so he can dump the tanks guess what NO HOSE!!!

The RV couldn't be moved without releasing some of the grey water or the raw sewage would have been all over the inside of the RV. So we had to do the most discusting thing release some of the grey water tank onto the ground. We were able to find someone with an extra hose and while my husband and son went to empty the tanks we used the hose to wash down as much of that nasty grey water as possible so it would not stink or ruin the landscape plus it was so unsanitary.

My husband returns and rehooks this piece of crap up to the water and electricity and guess what the indicator lights are showing that the tanks are at 3/4 full so it obviously didn't work. So now we have spent over $2000.00 for a rolling piece of s--- and have no shower, no hot water and no toilet.

We followed all the directions when you have a problem and that was to call Cruise America and they were supposed to offer support or service or both. All they did was note that we called and what the complaint was about.

That thing was as bad or worse than the one in the movie RV with Robin Williams.

When we got home and went to turn that thing in my husband argued about not paying for the trip and they said they could only reduce the price by $750.00 he felt that was all he could get so he accepted. I have no intention of paying for anything but gas if I have things my way. I will be filing a dispute with my credit card company and they can handle it. When I called and asked for the complaint department I was told they only take complaints by e-mail. What a joke, that means they just delete them or they have their system set up to mark them as spam so no one ever sees any complaints.

If anyone reads these don't and I mean EVER rent from Cruise America.

Dharma,

As a former employee of criuise americas travelers assistance it is a joke,

we were instructed not to locate service for minor issues as it was too costly

such as rattling windows tires brakes etc. i hope you hired and attorney and sued these bastards. some of the things i had to tell people really turned my stomach. its funny for 4000 motor homes they only had three people manning the phones at any given time it was a horrible experinece . and when there was a complaint i was instructed to give the email address which they deleted most of the time it was a joke. good luck sue them!

As we were driving down the highway the entire refrigertor fell off. We had no way to fix it so called customer service they told us to just somehow jimmy righ it and then come to the closest Cruise America of course there were none in our area so that was out of the question. I am in the processing of writing the CEO at this moment we'll see how that goes. Thanks for listening and again don't use Cruise America.
