Thieves, rude and very unprofessional personnel – rent your RV elsewhere!

I am from Poland, taking RV vacations in US. This was my 4th rental with Cruise America. I rented RV from Cruise America, pickup location Franklin Park in June, vehicle id 254666. I must say that the situation I met was absolute bad customer service and unpleasant experience.

After drop off the RV on Friday 27th, I noticed 2 hours later that my and mine daughter Columbia omniheat vests were left in RV’s wardrobe. Cruise America location policy is to hold the items for 30 days. I contacted Franklin Park worker immediately, few hours after drop off. She confirmed that they have the vests, so I can pick them up on my way to ORD Chicago airport. As agreed I arrived 2 days later in the afternoon to retrieve my stuff. I had a limited time to catch the plane. The vests were not there. Franklin Park manager BRIAN EGOFSKE said they don’t have the vests, he doesn’t know where they are. Even that it had been clearly confirmed over the phone that cleaning lady had found the vest,

had put them into plastic bag for a pick up. He left me no option saying he would not be take care of my staff [Contract remark: CA policy requires to keep the customers lost-and-found staff for 30 days], because it is my responsibility. Manager BRIAN EGOFSKE engaged in abusive behavior to me and my wife that I have never encountered from any vendor in my life. What a shame. Soon after I contacted Cruise America - Customer Relations – ticket: Nowicki - 36906169 – 599918. Received only a nice/sorry letter in response to my complaints. They advised me to contact Franklin Park in direct, but I was already there with nothing. This company is seriously awful.

In my opinion, the manager is a thief and a fraud. All this sounds like a mistreatment and an evident burglary example. They know that basically there is no international jurisdiction. I am very disappointed, overall negative customer experience. It is not about money value, it is about principles. If you can use someone else, do not use Cruise America or at least check the location reviews first.
