Crum & Forster Want to have a claim on a settlement with a bank instead of paying me for my spinal cord injury Orange, California
I broke my neck in Sept. 2005 when I fell 12 steps inside a bank. This was a worker's compensation case. I spent almost 3 months in the hospital and have spinal cord injury, pain 24/7 and restricted use of my arm and neck. Due to the fusion the X-Ray shows severe deterioratiion of my C5, C6 and C7 vertebrae.
I am impaired for life.
Crum and Forster didn't pay me for losses of wages for almost a year. I settled the case with the bank.
Last year Crum and Forster offered to settle with me but I had a couple of falls and since it had been over 6 months since I had signed papers and nothing was happening, I rescinded the settlement because I felt that my condition had worsened.
The attorney immediately threatened me saying that now I would get nothing. Also the money that they had been paying me stopped.
Now the attorney for Crum and Forster is saying that they are filing a claim against my original settlement. I am furious because at my settlement meeting their representative said that they were not going to make any claims and I certainly would not have spent almost a year of my life doing depositions and having meetings and getting doctor's reports to make Crum and Forster well.
I intend not to just roll over, instead I am going to tell my story everywhere in hopes that people will think twice about doing business with them and I am going to try to find an honest attorney to represent me.
