I put an ad on Craigslist asking for help to feed my animals... I received an email from Curtis Gardenhire telling me that he loves to help people and he would like to give me $300. I responded that i believed him to be a scammer but that if he was in fact real, to let me know how i could get his help. He then responded back to me with the following:
"What do you mean by scam, am for real and ready to help you out if you are trustworthy cos other people need some help too, i do help homeless and who don't have any. You can send me your info (name, address, phone number) and will have a check sent to you this week. I do hope you genuinely need the money. Thanks."
I still believed this to be a scammer as the message was not proper grammar, but some people do not have the best grammar. I responded to that email stating that I did not believe he needed this information in order to help me. I would only meet in person in public, and that if he was real and really does help, that he could let me know where to meet and when. That if we met, I would gladly show him my drivers license to show i am real. I then received this emai:
"Hi. Well i really understand all what you mean, where do you locate? That is will be the problem because I will also like to meet you in person to help you. Is good to be honest, Yes I like who appreciate animal, i do love animal as well and i do all my best for animal to be fine and OK. Just let me know where you locate. Secondly am for real and nothing to do with your details is safe, am very sorry for losing your job, may the Lord provide a good job for you soon. Thanks."
I knew that this was a scammer trying to get personal information. I did a google search on this guys "name" and found him on ripoff report and a few other sites. So, just posting this to beware, because some people can be lured in by this stuff and get ripped off. I am glad i am not so easily fooled, regardless of my situation. Be aware!!!!
