A representative of CyberCoders contacted me, claiming I was referred to position that had opened up in my local area that seemed to fit my skills set perfectly. In fact it resembled my current position almost exactly. The pay claim was really good (better than my current salary) but the Job posting didn't have an employer. I looked at it closely, knowing my company was looking to expand and hire another individual in the same position as myself.  My suspicion was it was our company's job. I inquired if the company in question was indeed my company. The representative of Cyber Coders indeed said it was. Hmm.... Still something didn't seem right, our job postings never indicate pay. I negotiated my current salary (but if this posting was correct, I really should have asked for more). As far as I know, we have never used a 3rd party for hiring. I shot off an e-mail to my coworker mentioning I was contacted by a recruiter for a great company and jokingly asked if he'd heard of our company.

Apparently CyberCoders had farmed our latest job posting on Craigslist. Inserted a salary range, and somehow contacted me. They informed if I referred a candidate, and they received the job, then I'd get an iPad 2, the later really setting off my BS meter. It doesn't sound like very strong business model.

We have not posted or contracted any positions to CyberCoders. They appear to be a resume farm. Who knows what they intend, but do not send these people personal info.
