Cyberhome - Argus Electronics failed to repair dvd player under warranty refuses to respond further Fremont California
Purchased Cyberhome CH-LDV 700B from WalMart on 4-12-04. Returned defective unit the next day for another.
This unit failed out of return warranty period. Contacted Cyberhome/Argus and was issued a RMA# on the 6th of June.
The same unit was returned about the 16th of June in the exact same condition as it was sent. Now they will not respond to my emails or notes send via the support website. The factory warranty period is 90 days.
I also contacted customer service at WalMart on the advice of the manager of the store where I made the purchase. (1-800-WALMART). I was told that a local district manager would contact my within 2 business days. Four days have now gone by with no contact from Walmart or anyone.

I also purchased 3 of these units for gifts for my family over the holidays. I purchased all of them from Home Shopping Network. Within weeks they all stopped working. I had the same problems, machine froze and they would not repair. And from the Home Shopping Network bulletin boards there appears to be hundreds if not thousands of consumers who have experienced the same problem.We have all contacted HSN, and Cyberhome and no one will do anything. I think that it is outrageous that this company will not take care of this problem. I think we should look into doing a class action suit.
