There is something wrong with the company cydcor and I'm not exactly sure what's illegal and whats unethical.

I worked for an independently owned offshoot of cydcor and it was a horrible experience, but it was just normal bad management, not a scam.  What did interest me is what happened once I suggested that I wanted to quit.

I would send worried text messages and facebook messages to my friends who worked there (before quitting) about panic attacks I would get.  (the nature of selling door to door created anxiety for me).  Anyway, my friends wouldn't receive the actual message and I know this because I would send a message and I would quickly get a phone call but my friends didn't know the content of the message.  When one of my friends called me in the middle of the night after I sent a benign facebook message, he sounded terrified and I said to him verbatim "Say yes if you didn't get my last text message" and he said yes, then had to go.

I got a certified letter the other day demanding that I stop contacting them.  I signed it almost 10 days after I had contacted them last.  I haven't been stalking, trying to contact them (the individual office or cydcor) or anything along those lines, but I am very concerned about cydcor.

The fact that cydcor may control kids text messages and facebook accounts is very troubling.  The kids that I worked with all came from various backgrounds and all desperately needed money so they all have so much riding on making it to ownership (I can explain what this means) that they didn't see how bad it was or how it was adversely affecting their lives.

Also, I think cydcor changed their website after I quit the sales office in east providence, but this I can't guarantee.

What do I do next?  I deleted text messages because this company stressed me out too much.  I don't want to sue cydcor personally, but if what they are doing is illegal or others have similar stories, I really think action needs to be taken.

naw yall need to wake up, the consultants who are in cydcor how do you think they made it?? by crying like girls like yall doing?? I bet if yall was them you would be singing a diff tune. And to the guy above me your office prob sucks thats why your manager breaks even, just cause he breaks even dont make it out like every manager breaks even cause they dont.

Cydcor does prob have the most people under the age of 35 making at least 6 figures, and all of the consultants make 500k or more and they are all under the age of 35 for the most part, the guy 2 places above me, cydcor is a private company so it wont be listed in forbes because guess what private companies dont list how much they make.. go figure dummy!!

Just cause didnt make it to management in the time you thought you should have and you quit, well guess what!! The job aint for you, instead of complaining stick in there and  make it happen.

As for making the owner money everyone has to start somewhere, I dont care who you work for as long as you work under someone you arer making them money or making their life easier, SoFor all who talk negatively about cycor enjoy your life working for someone else, I bet you never come across a job where you will make 200k a yr and if you do it will take you years and years to do so, while in cydcor if you work hard you can do it in a quick amount of time

First off the guy directly above me, you and your owner must have been running a crappy office that couldnt sell enough apps a week to make a d**n difference, what office are you in I can look you all up yall aint sellin sh*t, just cause your owner breaks even does not mean all the other owners do. 2nd cydcor may not have alot of millionares but all of the consultants are under the age of 40 and they all make at least 500k a yr or more, so dude does have a point when he says there is an opprtunity.

And about making the owner money, sh*t you are asst manager or you  were, you got 10% of all profits, everyone has to start somewhere, people should not get mad cause they dont make it in the time they thought they should.

And the guy 2 spots above me you shouldnt even talk because you dont even work in a cydcor office nor do you know a d**n thing about it, and cydcor is a privately owned business so they wont be listed in forbes because all of their profits are not liste dummy!!

Those who stick in there become rich and can become their bosses, again if you worked for an office and didint get promoted to management in the time fram you thought and you quit then it never was for you. The name of the game is to stick it out and keep grinding.

To the guy two posts up from this one, I hope that you open your eyes soon, son. I am a recent ex-employee of a Cydcor ICL. I got promoted to assistant manager, and unfortunately, it took me that long to see the LIES and DECEPTION that is inherently built into the system. Trust me, I was just like you a few months ago. I would have gone through hell and high water to defend this company.. and I did. With friends, family, and ex-employees of the company. I know this is emotional (meaning people get defensive when talking about the company), so let me go through your post. Hopefully, you open your eyes.

1."Others include t-mobile, Qwell verizon and over 10 other companies"
==== It's Quill. And their clients are AT&T, Verizon, Qwest, Moneris, Direct Energy, Spark Energy, WalMart, and Quill. Doesn't look like "over" 10 to me.

2. ".I happen to work with a great owner/president who has a lucrative bonus system"
==== I'm sure you really like you're boss. You're supposed to!! If not, turnover would be even higher than it is. Trust me, those team nights, crew nights, weekend outings, and over-staying at the office after everyone else is gone isn't because he likes you (hey, he might!). Instead, its SOLE purpose is to create a family environment. An us versus them mentality. Got a bunch of new guys or one that the boss really likes? Everyone better be having fun. And lucrative bonus system? Laughable. Unless it comes from the client, which is rare, it comes from your bosses pocket. And judging from his expenses, that won't be happening (more on that later).

3. "Our company has more millionaires under the age of 40 than any other corporation."
==== The guy above me already debunked this. But, kid, don't believe until you see it. The only millionaires are John Wiggins and Gary Pulson. All those SNC's (know what that stands for?), do make 6 figures. But seven or eight? hahahahahhahaha

4. "But not for worker bees, but for those who want to lead"
==== Biggest mistake dude. You go to door to door to make another man rich. And we're worker bees????? Worker bees gather pollen (apps) and bring it back from the field (..yeah) to the queen bee (owner). Ever here those opportunity meetings?? The owner makes 70% of what the office makes, depending on the client. Sounds sweet, right! Wrong. Take out rent for the office, utilities, phones, supplies, payroll tax (which is a b***h), legal fees, and my owner was paying themself LESS than what some people made in the field. That's right, you are sweating or freezing, damp or soaking wet.. but at least you make more than the guy in the position you want to be in! Call me out on it, I know my s**t. Your owner pays him/her self the same break even he has had since he started in the business. No pay raise. Need to save money in case his whole office quits, has fall back money. And trust me, that goes fast.

I'll stop  now.... just wake the h**l up, please. For the sake of your credit. Because mine is f***ed now.

J. Williams,

I just have to ask where you decided to come up with a corporation with the most millionaires under 40.  That is absurd and entirely not true.  I would have to assume Forbes Magazine would be covering Cydcor over and over again if this were even close to the case.  Secondly what are the over 10 other companies?  Cydcor does not work with that many companies, they only work with a handful and then during the conferences say that they are starting new campaigns that in reality are never going to happen.

Also check the numbers, your company is not growing.  A couple years ago they celebrated the opening of their 200th office, currently they are under that 200 level and have gone through about 500 owners in the last couple years.  Can you explain to me how that is growth?

Grow up bud, if you don't open your eyes now it's gonna be a big smack in the face when you do realize that all this drivel that you are trying to preach are based on false hoods.

Good Luck,
Tony

I work for a I.C.L. of cydcor. An I.C.L. stands for independent corporate licensee. Cydcor works with mainly fortune 500 companies and some smaller ones. AT&T is probably the largest one. Others include t-mobile, Qwell verizon and over 10 other companies. An I.C.L. is exactly what your local state farm agent has, or real estate company like remax. Field reps consist of the majority of the company.

I'm sorry you had a bad experience. Since these companies ARE I.C.L's how a office is run is to the discretion of the owner. There are good bosses and bad ones. I happen to work with a great owner/president who has a lucrative bonus system. The client we work with provides a great product/service for small business owners. Notice how nobody says we rip off the ppl we sale to, just those who didn't like the job. The ones who run and help other ppl create offices have the most successful businesses/organizations and make big money.

Our company has more millionaires under the age of 40 than any other corporation. And I personally know some. I've met the vice president of at&t and have seen the numbers and our company was responsible for about 20% of their revenue, that's huge! We make more than at&t sales rep make. And we have larger corporations joining and wanting to join... For the right price

But the moral of the story is; life is what you make it. I plan on making the most out of it. I have the drive and talent. If you wanna make $60,000 base salary plus benefits starting out then this isn't for you. If you wanna make seven or even eight figures it very very possible.

Here's the number one stat: while most companies are downsizing or staying stagnant, my company is growing. The opportunity is real. But not for worker bees, but for those who want to lead

I too worked for Cydcor for a while, got promoted to leadership within 7 days, and easily did 10 apps a week. Let's be honest, door to door sales are brainless and anyone can do them as long as you don't give a crap about self-respect or self-worth. True, there is money to be made and I personally never had a problem with my paychecks (except when they took away my $150 training bonus for arrive at 8:01 instead of 8:00 because my car wouldn't start).

HOWERVER, there was a lot of lying going on, and I never felt comfortable training new hires and having to convince them that it only takes a few months before they get to management, and that their time in the field as sales reps was really a "management training" course. One thing - you make exactly the same money as the first day you start until you get to management (if you ever get there) so when their ads say "advancement opportunities" make sure you're aware that there is only one opportunity and it's not a very good one. A VERY small percentage of reps become managers (around 1%), and 3/4 of being a "leader" is dedicated to finding ways to make sure new hires don't quit so that the manager in charge keeps on making money. They tell you up front it's not a pyramid scheme, but it's so close to one it's hard to tell the difference. Any sort of negative talk about the company is not allowed, even if it's true (like how much money you throw away on gas everyday), and even if it's not at the office.

Obviously I don't work there anymore, and ever since I quit my life has improved dramatically. Most people that I worked with hated what they were doing, but the office atmosphere seems intended to make people afraid to quit, which in part was why I wasted way too much time in this job.  My advice, if you're looking for a legitimate job, stay away from Cydcor (and make sure you do your research about supposedly "independent" marketing firms that are actually offshoots of Cydcor under different names, i.e. Pac Marketing).

That guy is right - it's not for everyone. But some people do enjoy it and those that have the personality to make it through to owning their own office really do make good money, but if you're uncomfortable with door to door sales and getting yelled at on a daily basis then I recommend staying far far away.

First things First I am currently employed by cydcore I work in an office in PA and I will just have to comment on the fact that what you said about cydcore taping into yor cell phone and blocking text messages is a crock of s**t they honestly dont care if you text anyone.. and to be quite honest with you, your just salty that yo couldnt hack it 9 outa 10 times the people who are writing these messages are people who just couldnt hack it and its a shame because seriously if you work hard and apply everything they teach you and dont focus on the negative s**t you`ll be successful.. I myself have never had a problem with my paycheck I consistantly close at least 10 accts weekly I get paid on all the apps I close and I get a extra 100 for making production.. The people who write s**t about my company are people who just dont want to work hard I have never been asked to work on a sat or pay for someones lunch. As far as having panic attacks and neggin out to all yor friends who work with you they deffently were gettin your messages but no one wants to work with someone who is neggin ot all the time they were ignoring you. Its very hard to keep a positive atmosphere with people like you who because you cant hack it you try and bring everyone down with you its not fair leave it alone and more on U just couldnt hack it we say it over and over again THIS JOB ISNT FOR EVERYONE!!!
